Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi dan proses penerapan metode solfegio dalam meningkatkan produksi suara pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler paduan suara di SMP Negeri 39 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Objek penelitian meliputi penerapan metode solfegio melalui ear training, sight reading, dan sight singing pada anggota paduan suara di SMP Negeri 39 Jakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan studi pustaka dengan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode solfegio memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan produksi suara, yang terlihat pada pernapasan yang lebih terkontrol, intonasi yang lebih tepat, frasering yang lebih teratur, serta resonansi suara yang lebih bulat. Selain itu, kualitas suara kelompok juga mengalami peningkatan dalam hal balancing, blending dan sonoritas. Dengan demikian, metode solfegio efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produksi suara paduan suara di SMP Negeri 39 Jakarta. ***** This study aims to examine the contribution and implementationprocess ofthe solfeggio method in improving vocal production in the choir extracurricular activity at SMP Negeri 39 Jakarta. The research employs a qualitative approach with adescriptive method. The object of the study includes the application of the solfeggio method through ear training, sight reading, and sight singing to the choir members of SMP Negeri 39 Jakarta. Data were collected through observation, interviews, field notes, and literature review using triangulation techniques. The results indicate that the implementation ofthe solfeggio method has a positive impact on the improvement of vocal production, as evidenced by more controlled breathing, more accurate intonation, more organized phrasing, and fuller vocal resonance. In addition, the overall vocal quality ofthe choir improved in terms of balance, blending, and sonority. Therefore, the solfeggio method is efective in enhancing the quality of choral vocal production at SMP Negeri 39 Jakarta.
