Abstract

Penelitian ini berakar dari fenomena penurunan rasa percaya diri pada anak-anak berusia 6 sampai 12 tahun, yang terbentuk oleh faktor pola asuh, lingkungan, dan minimnya sarana edukasi yang bersifat komunikatif untuk orang tua. Rasa percaya diri adalah elemen krusial dalam perkembangan anak yang terkait dengan adaptasi, tanggung jawab, dan interaksi sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi kontribusi orang tua dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak serta merancang media Audiovisual yang dapat membantu orang tua memahami metode pengasuhan dengan cara yang visual dan sederhana. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan metode Design Thinking yang melalui langkah-langkah empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara melakukan studi pustaka, observasi, dan menelaah penelitian sebelumnya yang relevan. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tua berfungsi sebagai fasilitator, motivator, pendidik, pendidik sosial, dan pengawas dalam membangun rasa percaya diri anak. Hasil akhir dalam bentuk Audiovisual edukatif yang informatif dan komunikatif, sehingga dapat berfungsi sebagai alternatif media untuk membantu orang tua dalam menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri anak. Sebagai kesimpulan, pendekatan Design Thinking terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan produk visual yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dan mendukung perkembangan positif anak. ***** This research stems from the phenomenon of declining self-confidence in children aged 3 to 12 years, which is shaped by factors such as parenting styles, environment, and the lack of communicative educational resources for parents. Self-confidence is a crucial element in a child's development, linked to adaptation, responsibility, and social interaction. The purpose of this study is to explore the contribution of parents in increasing children's self-confidence and to design Audiovisual media that can help parents understand parenting methods in a visual and simple way. This research utilizes the Design Thinking method, which involves the steps of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data was collected thru literature reviews, observations, and examining relevant previous studies. The findings of this study indicate that parents function as facilitators, motivators, educators, socializers, and supervisors in building children's self-confidence. The final result is in the form of an informative and communicative educational Audiovisual, which can serve as an alternative medium to help parents foster their child's self-confidence. In conclusion, the Design Thinking approach has proven effective in creating visual products that meet audience needs and support children's positive development.
