Abstract
Pergulatan ekonomi perempuan perantau merupakan kondisi yang ditandai oleh perjuangan menghadapi ketidakstabilan finansial, tekanan psikologis, serta tuntutan adaptasi di lingkungan baru. Penciptaan karya seni lukis abstrak ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan dan merefleksikan pengalaman pergulatan ekonomi perempuan perantau melalui pendekatan visual yang berangkat dari pengalaman personal seniman. Karya ini diharapkan dapat menjadi medium ekspresi sekaligus pemaknaan terhadap kondisi emosional, psikologis, dan realitas kehidupan yang dialami perempuan perantau dalam upaya bertahan di perantauan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan artistic research, yang menempatkan proses penciptaan karya sebagai bagian dari penelitian. Tahapan operasional penciptaan meliputi: (1). Tahap eksplorasi, yaitu penggalian pengalaman pribadi, observasi, dan perenungan terkait pergulatan ekonomi perempuan perantau; (2). Tahap perancangan, berupa penentuan konsep visual, pemilihan medium, warna, serta simbol visual yang digunakan; (3). Tahap perwujudan, yaitu proses penciptaan karya seni lukis abstrak dengan teknik mix media melalui pengolahan goresan, warna, dan elemen gelembung sebagai simbol utama; serta (4). Tahap evaluasi, berupa refleksi terhadap karya yang dihasilkan untuk melihat keterkaitan antara konsep dan visualisasi. Hasil penciptaan menunjukkan bahwa seni lukis abstrak mix media mampu menjadi sarana untuk mengekspresikan pengalaman personal sekaligus memahami konteks pergulatan ekonomi perempuan perantau melalui proses abstraksi objek, memori, emosi, dan realitas perjuangan hidup. Kata Kunci: Seni Lukis Abstrak, Pergulatan Ekonomi, Perempuan Perantau, Mix Media ***** The economic struggle of migrant women is a condition characterized by efforts to cope with financial instability, psychological pressure, and the demands of adaptation in a new environment. The creation of this abstract painting aims to represent and reflect the experiences of migrant women’s economic struggles through a visual approach rooted in the artist’s personal experiences. This work is expected to serve as a medium of expression as well as interpretation of the emotional, psychological, and lived realities experienced by migrant women in their efforts to survive in migration. The method employed in this study is a qualitative method with an artistic research approach, which positions the process of art creation as an integral part of the research. The operational stages of creation include: (1) the exploration stage, involving the excavation of personal experiences, observation, and contemplation related to the economic struggles of migrant women; (2) the design stage, consisting of the determination of visual concepts, selection of media, colors, and visual symbols; (3) the realization stage, which is the process of creating abstract paintings using mixed media techniques through the manipulation of brushstrokes, colors, and bubble elements as the main symbolic form; and (4) the evaluation stage, involving reflection on the completed works to examine the relationship between conceptual ideas and visual representation. The results of the creative process indicate that mixed media abstract painting is capable of serving as a medium to express personal experiences while also providing an understanding of the context of migrant women’s economic struggles through the abstraction of objects, memories, emotions, and the realities of life’s struggles.
