Abstract

Fenomena rasa takut dan cemas dalam berkarya sering menjadi hambatan bagi generasi muda, terutama di tengah tuntutan sosial serta standar estetika yang berkembang dalam masyarakat kontemporer. Berangkat dari keresahan tersebut, perupa menjadikan lagu Fearless (1971) karya Pink Floyd sebagai sumber inspirasi karena lirik dan atmosfer musiknya yang merepresentasikan keberanian untuk jujur dalam berkarya. Penelitian penciptaan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang memanfaatkan prinsip-prinsip, proses, dan praktik seni untuk menyelidiki, memahami, dan mengaratikulasi pengalaman manusia (artistic-based research) dengan pendekatan ekspresif dan kajian literatur untuk menganalisis nilai emosional yang dihadirkan dalam lagu Fearless. Proses kreatif dilakukan melalui tahapan riset literatur, eksplorasi visual, digital sculpting, hingga perwujudan fisik menggunakan media resin clear dan resin solid melalui teknik 3D printing. Karya art toys yang dihasilkan berbentuk karakter semi-figuratif yang merepresentasikan diri perupa melalui simbolisasi gestur, pose, dan warna monokrom. Figur-figur ini menghadirkan narasi transisi dari rasa takut menuju keberanian, sehingga karya tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai objek estetik, melainkan juga sebagai ruang reflektif yang memberi pesan positif bagi audiens, khususnya generasi muda. Kata Kunci: Art Toys, Musik, Rasa Takut, Fearless, Pink Floyd ***** The phenomenon of fear and anxiety in the act of creating often becomes a barrier for young generations, particularly amidst the social demands and aesthetic standards that continue to develop in contemporary society. Arising from this concern, the artist chose Fearless (1971) by Pink Floyd as the main source of inspiration, as its lyrics and musical atmosphere represent the courage to remain honest in the creative process. This creation research employs a qualitative method that utilizes the principles, processes, and practices of art to investigate, understand, and articulate human experiences (artistic-based research), combined with an expressive approach and literature review to analyze the emotional values conveyed in the song Fearless. The creative process was carried out through several stages: literature research, visual exploration, digital sculpting, and physical realization using clear resin and solid resin through 3D printing techniques. The resulting art toys take the form of semi-figurative characters that represent the artist’s self through the symbolism of gestures, poses, and monochromatic colors. These figures present a narrative of transition from fear to courage, positioning the work not only as an aesthetic object but also as a reflective space that conveys a positive message to audiences, especially the younger generation.
