Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas IV masih tergolong rendah, ditandai dengan kesulitan siswa dalam memahami permasalahan, menentukan strategi penyelesaian, serta menarik kesimpulan dari soal yang diberikan. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah soal cerita Matematika melalui model Think Pair Share (TPS) berbantuan Crossmath Game pada siswa kelas IV. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Rawamangun 09 dengan subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didiksiswa kelas IVB yang berjumlah 24 orang. Model penelitianPenelitian tindakan kelas yang diterapkan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah Matematika pada soal cerita diperoleh melalui tes evaluasi.kemampuan memecahkan masalah berdasarkan indikator memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, melaksanakan rencana, dan memeriksa kembali hasil penyelesaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemecahan masalah Matematika siswa, dengan persentase dari Siklus I ke Siklus II pada seluruh indikator. Indikator memahami masalah tetap berada pada persentase 100,00% pada kedua siklus. Indikator merencanakan penyelesaian meningkat dari 64,44% pada Siklus I menjadi 93,61% pada Siklus II. Indikator melaksanakan penyelesaian mengalami peningkatan dari 67,78% menjadi 76,94%, sedangkan indikator mengevaluasi hasil meningkat dari 63,33% pada Siklus I menjadi 76,94% pada Siklus II. Peningkatan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tindakan pembelajaran yang diterapkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa secara bertahap dan signifikan.dengan indikator ketercapaian 75%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Think Pair Share (TPS) efektif dalamberbantuan Crossmath Game dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah Matematika siswa kelas IVB SDN Rawamangun 09. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi alternatif tindakan bagi guru dalam menerapkan model Think Pair Share (TPS) berbantuan Crossmath Game pada pembelajaran Matematika di sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: Think Pair Share, Crossmath Game, Pemecahan Masalah, Soal Cerita Matematika, Siswa SD. ***** Students’ mathematical problem-solving ability in Grade IV was found to be relatively low, particularly in understanding problems, planning solution strategies, and evaluating solutions to word problems. This classroom action research aimed to enhance students’ mathematical problem-solving ability through the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) model assisted by the Crossmath Game. The study was conducted at SDN Rawamangun 09 and involved 24 fourth-grade students (Class IVB). The research followed the Kemmis and McTaggart classroom action research model and was implemented in two cycles. Data were collected through problem-solving tests based on four indicators: understanding the problem, planning the solution, carrying out the solution, and reviewing the solution. Data analysis was conducted by calculating the percentage of achievement for each indicator. The results indicated an improvement in students’ mathematical problem-solving ability from Cycle I to Cycle II across all indicators. The percentage for understanding the problem remained at 100.00% in both cycles. Planning the solution increased from 64.44% to 93.61%, carrying out the solution improved from 67.78% to 76.94%, and reviewing the solution increased from 63.33% to 76.94%. All indicators exceeded the minimum achievement criterion of 75% in Cycle II. It can be concluded that the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) model assisted by the Crossmath Game is effective in improving elementary students’ mathematical problem-solving ability. This approach may serve as an alternative instructional strategy for mathematics learning in elementary schools. predetermined achievement criterion of 75%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) model assisted by the Crossmath Game can improve the mathematical word problem-solving ability of fourth-grade students at SDN Rawamangun 09. The results of this study are expected to serve as an alternative instructional approach for teachers in implementing the Think Pair Share (TPS) model assisted by the Crossmath Game in elementary school mathematics learning.
