Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas Metode ‘Ali dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an santri. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada tiga aspek utama kemampuan membaca, yaitu ketepatan penerapan tajwid, kelancaran dan kefasihan bacaan (fashahah), serta penguasaan bacaan gharib. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi proses pembelajaran, wawancara dengan pengajar, serta dokumentasi berupa hasil Ujian Kenaikan Level (UKL) dari dua semester dan data waktu tempuh penyelesaian pembelajaran pada keempat level dengan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) lembaga dan metode sebagai pengukuran efektivitas metode ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Metode ‘Ali efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an santri pada aspek tajwid, fashahah, dan bacaan gharib. Efektivitas ini ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan signifikan kelulusan UKL dari Semester 1 ke Semester 2 serta kesesuaian waktu tempuh penyelesaian level pembelajaran dengan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP). Metode ini efektif karena diterapkan secara sistematis dan berjenjang melalui pendekatan talaqqi musyāhadah, menggunakan teknik 3T (talqin, tarkiz, dan tahqiq), serta penggunaan mushaf Metode ‘Ali yang dilengkapi fitur PAUSE (waqaf) dan PLAY (ibtida), sehingga membantu santri memahami hukum tajwid secara aplikatif, membangun kelancaran dan kestabilan fashahah, serta mengenali bacaan gharib secara tepat. Dengan demikian, Metode ‘Ali tidak hanya efektif dari sisi hasil belajar, tetapi juga dari sisi proses pembelajaran yang terukur dan berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Metode ‘Ali, Kemampuan Membaca Al-Qur’an, Tajwid, Fashahah, Ilmu Gharib, Lab_Q Saqurma. ***** This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the ‘Ali Method in improving students’ Qur’anic reading skills. The research focuses on three main aspects of reading ability, namely the accuracy of tajwīd application, fluency and articulation of recitation (faṣāḥah), and mastery of gharīb readings. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include observation of the learning process, interviews with instructors, and documentation in the form of Level Promotion Examination (UKL) results from two semesters and data on the duration required to complete learning at four levels, measured against the institutional and methodological Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as indicators of effectiveness. The findings indicate that the ‘Ali Method is effective in enhancing students’ Qur’anic reading skills in the aspects of tajwīd, faṣāḥah, and gharīb recitation. This effectiveness is demonstrated by a significant increase in UKL pass rates from Semester 1 to Semester 2, as well as the conformity of learning completion time with the established SOP. The effectiveness of this method is supported by its systematic and hierarchical implementation through a talāqqī musyāhadah approach, the application of the 3T technique (talqīn, tarkīz, and taḥqīq), and the use of the Ali Method mushaf equipped with PAUSE (waqf) and PLAY (ibtidā’) features. These elements facilitate the practical understanding of tajwīd rules, the development of fluent and stable faṣāḥah, and the accurate recognition of gharīb readings. Thus, the ‘Ali Method proves to be effective not only in terms of learning outcomes but also in ensuring a measurable and sustainable learning process.
