Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan media pembelajaran aplikasi Renshuu dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Kanji III, yang mencakup aspek membaca, mengartikan, dan menulis kanji, serta untuk mengetahui tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan media tersebut. Di Indonesia, bahasa Jepang menjadi salah satu bahasa asing yang paling diminati, namun penguasaan sistem tulisannya, terutama kanji, seringkali menjadi tantangan besar bagi pembelajar karena kompleksitas bentuk, makna, dan variasi cara bacanya. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil pra-penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa 63,6% mahasiswa merasa kurang puas dengan hasil belajar Kanji II, dan 78,8% menyatakan pembelajaran kanji tetap sulit baik secara daring maupun luring. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre-experimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester III kelas D Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Universitas Negeri Jakarta tahun akademik 2025/2026 yang berjumlah 23 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa pretest dan posttest dan angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung sebesar 6,22 lebih besar dari ttabel sebesar 2,07 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan derajat kebebasan 22, sehingga Hk diterima dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Renshuu efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Kanji III. Hasil uji N-Gain sebesar 0,50 menunjukkan peningkatan berada pada kategori sedang. Selain itu, sebanyak 86,95% mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa Renshuu efektif membantu meningkatkan hasil belajar, dan 95,65% menyatakan fitur-fitur Renshuu mendukung pembelajaran Kanji III. Kata Kunci: media pembelajaran, Renshuu, hasil belajar, kanji, bahasa Jepang ***** This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Renshuu application as a learning medium in improving Kanji III learning outcomes, encompassing reading, interpreting, and writing aspects, as well as to identify students' responses toward its use. In Indonesia, Japanese is one of the most widely studied foreign languages; however, mastering its writing system, particularly kanji, often poses a significant challenge due to the complexity of its forms, meanings, and varied readings. This study was motivated by pre-research findings indicating that 63,6% of students were dissatisfied with their Kanji II learning outcomes, and 78,8% reported that learning kanji remained difficult regardless of whether classes were conducted online or offline. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 23 third-semester students from Class D of the Japanese Language Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta for the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through a pretest, posttest, and questionnaire, then analyzed using the t-test and N-Gain test. The results showed that the tcount value of 6,22 exceeded the ttable value of 2,07 at a 5% significance level with a degree of freedom of 22, leading to the acceptance of Ha and the conclusion that Renshuu is effective in improving Kanji III learning outcomes. The N-Gain score of 0,50 indicates a moderate level of improvement. Furthermore, 86,95% of students stated that Renshuu effectively helped improve their learning outcomes, and 95,65% stated that its features supported their Kanji III learning.
