Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN Kranji V melalui penggunaan media siniar "Dongeng Paman Gery". Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterampilan berbicara siswa, di mana hanya 6 dari 33 siswa (18%) yang mencapai nilai di atas Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) 75, sementara 82% siswa masih berada di bawah batas ketuntasan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Experiential Learning. Tindakan pembelajaran dilakukan melalui kegiatan menyimak siniar dongeng, mengidentifikasi unsur cerita, berlatih menceritakan kembali secara berpasangan, hingga unjuk kerja menceritakan kembali secara individu. Penilaian keterampilan berbicara mencakup empat indikator, yaitu kelancaran dan keruntutan, pelafalan dan intonasi, pilihan kata (diksi), serta kepercayaan diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan: persentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 55% pada Siklus I menjadi 82% pada Siklus II, melampaui indikator keberhasilan 80%. Nilai rata-rata kelas pun meningkat dari 70 menjadi 82. Seluruh empat indikator keterampilan berbicara mengalami peningkatan, dengan peningkatan paling signifikan pada indikator kepercayaan diri. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan siniar "Dongeng Paman Gery" terbukti efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. ***** This study aims to improve the speaking skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Kranji V through the use of the podcast "Dongeng Paman Gery" (Uncle Gery's Fairy Tale) as an audio learning medium. The study was motivated by the low speaking proficiency among students, where only 6 out of 33 students (18%) achieved scores above the minimum learning mastery criterion (KKTP) of 75, while 82% remained below the threshold. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings using the Experiential Learning model. The instructional sequence involved listening to podcast fairy tales, identifying story elements, practicing retelling in pairs, and performing individual oral retelling tasks. Speaking skills were assessed using four indicators: fluency and coherence, pronunciation and intonation, word choice (diction), and self-confidence. The results demonstrated significant improvement: the percentage of students achieving mastery increased from 55% in Cycle I to 82% in Cycle II, surpassing the 80% success benchmark. The class average score rose from 70 to 82. All four speaking indicators showed improvement, with the most significant gain observed in the self-confidence indicator. This study concludes that the use of the podcast "Dongeng Paman Gery" is effective in improving the speaking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students.
