Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman interpretatif teks informatif siswa kelas IV B SDN Pasar Manggis 03 pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia melalui penerapan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 26 siswa kelas IV B. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, observasi, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman interpretatif siswa pada setiap siklusnya. Pada tahap pra-siklus, persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 35%, kemudian meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 62% dan meningkat kembali pada siklus II menjadi 85%. Selain itu, aktivitas guru meningkat dari 79% menjadi 93% dan aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 78% menjadi 91%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman interpretatif teks informatif siswa kelas IV B SDN Pasar Manggis 03. Kata Kunci: Membaca Pemahaman Interpretatif, Teks Informatif, Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) ***** This study aimed to improve the interpretative reading comprehension skills of informational texts among fourth-grade students of SDN Pasar Manggis 03 in Indonesian language learning through the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 26 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, documentation, and field notes. The results showed that the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model improved students’ interpretative reading comprehension skills in each cycle. In the pre-cycle stage, the percentage of students’ learning mastery was 35%, which increased to 62% in cycle I and further increased to 85% in cycle II. In addition, teacher activity increased from 79% to 93%, while student activity increased from 78% to 91%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model was effective in improving the interpretative reading comprehension skills of informational texts among fourth-grade students of SDN Pasar Manggis 03.
