Abstract

kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni bela diri pencak silat dalam membentuk karakter disiplin siswa di SDN Duren Sawit 01 Pagi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kesiswaan, pelatih pencak silat, guru, siswa, dan orang tua siswa. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan keabsahan data diuji menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan karakter disiplin dilaksanakan melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Nilai disiplin ditanamkan melalui pembiasaan hadir tepat waktu, menaati tata tertib, bertanggung jawab, serta menerima sanksi edukatif. Nilai tersebut diterapkan siswa di lingkungan sekolah maupun di rumah. Selain membentuk karakter disiplin, kegiatan pencak silat juga berperan dalam mengembangkan karakter percaya diri, kemandirian, pengendalian diri, kerja sama, dan sikap hormat terhadap orang lain. Kata Kunci: Seni bela diri pencak silat, pendidikan karakter, disiplin siswa. ***** This study aims to describe and analyze the role of the Pencak Silat extracurricular activity in developing students' disciplinary character at SDN Duren Sawit 01 Pagi. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, the vice principal for student affairs, the Pencak Silat coach, teachers, students, and parents. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through triangulation. The findings revealed that the development of disciplinary character was implemented through the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of the extracurricular program. Discipline was fostered by encouraging students to arrive on time, comply with school rules, take responsibility, and accept educational sanctions for rule violations. These disciplinary values were reflected in students' behavior both at school and at home. In addition, the Pencak Silat extracurricular activity contributed to the development of self-confidence, independence, self-control, cooperation, and respect for others.
