Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) terhadap hasil belajar IPS peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 213 Jakarta pada materi Perdagangan Internasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol yang melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan model Think Pair Share (TPS) sesuai praktik pembelajaran yang berlaku di sekolah, dengan jumlah masing-masing sebanyak 30 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda yang telah memenuhi uji validitas dan reliabilitas, dengan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,839. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene’s Test, dan uji hipotesis Independent Samples t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 25,00 (setara 89,29 dalam skala 100), lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 21,33 (setara 76,18 dalam skala 100). Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai t sebesar 5,417 dengan nilai signifikansi p < 0,001, sehingga H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Selain itu, hasil analisis effect size menggunakan Cohen’s d menunjukkan nilai sebesar 1,400 yang termasuk kategori besar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPS peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 213 Jakarta pada materi Perdagangan Internasional. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dapat direkomendasikan sebagai salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS. ***** This study aimed to determine the effect of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model on the social studies learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 213 Jakarta on the topic of International Trade. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method. The research sample consisted of two classes: Class VIII G as the experimental class, which was taught using the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model, and Class VIII D as the control class, which received instruction using the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model in accordance with the instructional practices implemented at the school. Each class consisted of 30 students. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test that had met the validity and reliability requirements, with a reliability coefficient of 0.839. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene’s test for homogeneity of variance, and the Independent Samples t-test. The results showed that the mean posttest score of the experimental class was 25.00 (equivalent to 89.29 on a 100-point scale), which was higher than that of the control class, with a mean score of 21.33 (equivalent to 76.18 on a 100-point scale). The hypothesis testing yielded a t-value of 5.417 with a significance level of p < 0.001, indicating that the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Furthermore, the effect size analysis using Cohen’s d produced a value of 1.400, which is classified as a large effect. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model has a statistically significant effect on students’ social studies learning outcomes in the topic of International Trade. Therefore, the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model is recommended as an effective alternative instructional model for improving students’ social studies learning outcomes.
