Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran gallery walk terhadap komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode campuran yang mengombinasikan metode kuantitatif dan metode kualitatif yang dilakukan terhadap sampel 33 siswa kelas VIII-B. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, observasi, dan lembar refleksi diri. Adapun hasil data kuesioner dianalisis melalui uji paired sample t-test dan effect size Cohen’s d. Hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05), mengindikasikan perbedaan nyata sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hal ini didukung oleh peningkatan rata-rata skor siswa dari 88,85 (pre-test) menjadi 114,73 (post-test). Perhitungan effect size Cohen’s d menghasilkan koefisien 1,39 (kategori pengaruh sangat besar). Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran gallery walk berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komunikasi interpersonal siswa pada pembelajaran IPS.*****This study aims to know the effect of the gallery walk learning model on students’ interpersonal communication. This is a mixed-methods study combining quantitative and qualitative methods, conducted on a sample of 33 eighth-grade students in Class VIII-B. Data were collected using questionnaires, observations, and self-reflection sheets. The questionnaire data were analyzed using a paired-sample t-test and Cohen’s d effect size. The results of the paired-sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference before and after the intervention. This was supported by an increase in the students’ average score from 88.85 (pre-test) to 114.73 (post-test). The calculation of Cohen’s d effect size yielded a coefficient of 1.39 (classified as a very large effect). The research findings indicate that the gallery walk learning model has a significant effect on students’ interpersonal communication in social studies learning.
