Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis keluarga di era digital dalam menanamkan norma kesopanan anak terhadap orang tua di Kecamatan Jatinegara. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan era digital yang semakin meningkat sehingga interaksi langsung antara anak dengan orang tua menurun. Kondisi ini memunculkan gejala penurunan kesopanan dimana anak seringkali mengabaikan panggilan orang tua, menjawab tanpa kontak mata saat bermain gawai serta meniru bahasa kurang sopan dari media digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada November 2025 hingga Juni 2026 di wilayah Kecamatan Jatinegara. Sumber data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap 8 orang tua sebagai informan, 1 key informan, dan 1 orang ahli yang mendukung kelengkapan data. Hasil penelitian bahwa strategi implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis keluarga dilakukan melalui pembiasaan, keteladanan, komunikasi yang terbuka, serta pengawasan penggunaan gawai. Faktor penghambat paling dominan adalah penggunaan gawai yang berlebihan pengaruh lingkungan pertemanan serta kurangnya pengawasan dan keterbatasan waktu orang tua. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa keberhasilan penanaman norma kesopanan anak di era digital sangat dipengaruhi oleh teladan, pembiasaan, komunikasi intensif, dan bimbingan orang tua dalam penggunaan gawai oleh keluarga. Dengan demikian, pendidikan karakter berbasis keluarga menjadi landasan utama dalam membentuk warga negara yang berkarakter, beradab, dan sejalan dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila di tengah tantangan era digital. ***** This study aims to analyze the strategy of implementing family-based character education in the digital era to instill children's politeness norms toward parents in Jatinegara District. This research is motivated by the rapid development of the digital era which has led to a decline in direct interaction between children and parents. This condition gives rise to signs of declining politeness in which children often ignore their parents' calls answer without eye contact while using their devices and imitate impolite language from digital media. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research was conducted from November 2025 to June 2026 in the Jatinegara District areaThe data were obtained through observation and in-depth interviews with 8 parents as informants, 1 key informant, and 1 expert who supported the completeness of the data. The results of the study show that the strategy of implementing family-based character education is carried out through habituation, role modeling, open communication, and supervision of device usage. The most dominant inhibiting factors are excessive device usage the influence of the peer environment as well as the lack of supervision and the limited time of parents. The conclusion of this study is that the success of instilling children's politeness norms in the digital era is greatly influenced by role models, habituation, intensive communication, and parental guidance in the use of devices by the family. Thus, family-based character education becomes the main foundation for shaping citizens who are characterful, civilized, and aligned with the values of Pancasila amid the challenges of the digital era.
