Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna dan nilai-nilai filosofis Nggusu Waru dalam tradisi kepemimpinan masyarakat Bima, mengkaji implementasinya dalam pengelolaan pendidikan di Pesantren Al-Husainy Bima, serta mengkonstruksi model kepemimpinan pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal dalam perspektif pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi dengan melibatkan pimpinan pesantren, pengurus yayasan, kepala madrasah, ustadz/ustadzah, santri, tokoh masyarakat, dan budayawan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif-analitis dengan teknik triangulasi untuk menjamin kredibilitas dan keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Nggusu Waru merupakan sistem nilai kepemimpinan masyarakat Bima yang mengandung delapan nilai filosofis utama yang menekankan dimensi moral, spiritual, sosial, dan tanggung jawab kepemimpinan. Nilai-nilai tersebut diimplementasikan dalam pengelolaan pendidikan di Pesantren Al-Husainy melalui keteladanan pemimpin, pembinaan karakter santri, penguatan budaya disiplin, serta manajemen pendidikan yang berorientasi pada kemaslahatan umat. Model kepemimpinan yang berkembang bersifat integratif, memadukan karakter karismatik, paternalistik, demokratis, serta transformasional-konservatif, sehingga mampu menjaga tradisi sekaligus responsif terhadap perubahan zaman. Penelitian ini menghasilkan model kepemimpinan pendidikan berbasis local wisdom yang bersumber dari nilai budaya Nggusu Waru dan nilai Islam yang di istilah dengan Kepemimpinan Kultural-Profetik berbasis Nggusu Waru, yang relevan untuk memperkuat pendidikan karakter dan identitas budaya dalam kerangka pendidikan Islam modern. Model ini berkontribusi secara teoretis terhadap pengembangan kepemimpinan pendidikan berbasis budaya lokal dan secara praktis dapat dijadikan rujukan bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam mengintegrasikan nilai budaya dan ajaran Islam secara harmonis. ***** This study aims to analyze the meaning and philosophical values of Nggusu Waru within the leadership tradition of the Bima community, to examine its implementation in the educational management of Pesantren Al-Husainy Bima, and to construct a local wisdom–based educational leadership model within the framework of contemporary Islamic education. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving the pesantren leader, foundation administrators, school principals, teachers, students, community leaders, and cultural figures. Data were analyzed descriptively and analytically, with triangulation techniques applied to ensure credibility and validity. The findings indicate that Nggusu Waru represents a leadership value system of the Bima community consisting of eight core philosophical principles that emphasize moral, spiritual, social, and leadership responsibility dimensions. These values are implemented in the management of Pesantren Al-Husainy through exemplary leadership, character development of students, strengthening of disciplinary culture, and educational management oriented toward the welfare of the community. The emerging leadership model is integrative in nature, combining charismatic, paternalistic, democratic, and transformational-conservative characteristics. This integration enables the institution to preserve its traditions while remaining responsive to contemporary changes. The study develops a local wisdom-based educational leadership model rooted in the cultural values of Nggusu Waru and Islamic principles, referred to as Nggusu Waru-Based Cultural-Prophetic Leadership. This model is relevant to strengthening character education and cultural identity within the framework of modern Islamic education. Theoretically, the model contributes to the development of culturally grounded educational leadership, while practically, it may serve as a reference for Islamic educational institutions seeking to harmoniously integrate cultural values with Islamic teachings.
