Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh model cooperative script pada submateri mitigasi bencana terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis murid kelas XI SMAN 44 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eskperimen desain non-equivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian instrumen pre-test dan post-test berupa 20 butir soal pilihan ganda berdasarkan indikator Ennis yang telah melalui tahap uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis, serta uji N-Gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis murid melalui instrumen pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative script memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis murid. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan oleh skor rata-rata pre-test dan post-test kelas eksperimen yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol, yaitu dari 46,53 meningkat menjadi 84,03. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal (Sig. 0,097 > 0,05) dan memiliki varians data homogen (Sig. 0,289 > 0,05). Sementara itu, hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan Independent Samples T-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,021 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis murid setelah penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative script pada submateri mitigasi bencana. Model cooperative script mampu mendorong murid untuk lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran melalui kegiatan berdiskusi, menganalisis permasalahan, menyampaikan argumen, memberikan penjelasan, menarik kesimpulan, serta bekerja sama dalam memecahkan masalah. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran cooperative script dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis murid pada submateri mitigasi bencana. ***** This study was conducted to determine the effect of the Cooperative Script learning model on the disaster mitigation sub-material toward the critical thinking skills of eleventh-grade students at SMAN 44 Jakarta. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a non-equivalent control group design. The data collection technique was carried out by administering pre-test and post-test instruments in the form of 20 multiple-choice questions based on Ennis’ indicators that had gone through validity and reliability tests. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests, and N-Gain tests to determine the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills through the pre-test and post-test instruments. The results showed that the implementation of the Cooperative Script learning model had a significant effect on students’ critical thinking skills. This was indicated by the average pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental class, which were higher than those of the control class, increasing from 46.53 to 84.03. The prerequisite test results showed that the data were normally distributed (Sig. 0.097 > 0.05) and homogeneous (Sig. 0.289 > 0.05). Meanwhile, the hypothesis test using the Independent Samples T-Test showed a significance value of 0.021 < 0.05, which means that there was a significant effect on improving students’ critical thinking skills after the implementation of the Cooperative Script learning model on the disaster mitigation sub-material. The Cooperative Script model was able to encourage students to be more active in the learning process through discussion activities, analyzing problems, delivering arguments, providing explanations, drawing conclusions, and working together in solving problems. Therefore, the Cooperative Script learning model can be used as an effective alternative learning model to improve students’ critical thinking skills on the disaster mitigation sub-material.
