Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting yang perlu dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran Geografi, khususnya pada materi migrasi antar daerah yang menuntut kemampuan menganalisis fenomena sosial secara komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI SMAN 70 Jakarta. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 216 siswa, sedangkan sampel penelitian terdiri atas 63 siswa, yaitu kelas XI Geo 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI Geo 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kritis berdasarkan lima indikator Ennis. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, Independent Sample t-test, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,008 (<0,05), yang menunjukan berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis murid setelah penerapan model pembelajran Two Stay Two Stray pada submateri migrasi. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray berpengaruh positif dan dapat dijadikan alternatif yang efektif dalam pemilihan model pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada submateri migrasi antar daerah ***** Critical thinking is one of the essential competencies that should be developed in Geography learning, particularly in the topic of interregional migration, which requires students to comprehensively analyze social phenomena. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model on improving the critical thinking skills of Grade XI students at SMAN 70 Jakarta. The study employed a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control group design. The research population consisted of 216 students, while the sample comprised 63 students, including Class XI Geo 1 as the experimental group and Class XI Geo 5 as the control group. The research instrument was a critical thinking test based on Ennis's five indicators. Data were analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity test, Independent Samples t-test, and N-Gain test. The results showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.008 (< 0.05), indicating that the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model had a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills in the interregional migration subtopic. Therefore, the Two Stay Two Stray learning model had a positive effect and can be considered an effective alternative learning model for enhancing students' critical thinking skills in the interregional migration subtopic.
