Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media Buku Saku Cerita Lingkungan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif murid kelas III SDN Mekarjaya 3 Depok pada materi "Aku dan Lingkungan Sekitarku". Merujuk pada karakteristik murid fase operasional konkret, kehadiran media visual berbasis cerita (storytelling) ini dirancang khusus untuk menjembatani pemahaman konsep ekologis yang abstrak menjadi konkret. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi-eksperimen desain Nonequivalent Control Group. Sampel melibatkan 32 murid, yang didistribusikan menjadi kelompok eksperimen (15 murid) dan kelompok kontrol (17 murid). Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes objektif (Pre-test dan Post-test) yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli materi (Sangat Layak, skor 4,00) dan ahli media (Sangat Layak, skor 3,86). Pengujian statistik menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test memperoleh nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga Hipotesis Nol (H0) ditolak dan Hipotesis Alternatif (H1) diterima. Hasil belajar kelas eksperimen terbukti melonjak signifikan dari rata-rata 52,47 menjadi 88,93, sementara kelas kontrol hanya meningkat dari 52,94 menjadi 68,65. Perhitungan pengaruh melalui N-Gain Score menunjukkan kelas eksperimen meraih angka 0,78 (kategori Tinggi), melampaui kelas kontrol yang memperoleh skor 0,31 (kategori Sedang). Kesimpulannya, penerapan Buku Saku Cerita Lingkungan memberikan pengaruh yang sangat kuat dan signifikan dalam mendongkrak hasil belajar serta mengoptimalkan pemahaman lingkungan murid sekolah dasar ***** This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Buku Saku Cerita Lingkungan (Environmental Story Pocket Book) media on improving the cognitive learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Mekarjaya 3 Depok on the material "Aku dan Lingkungan Sekitarku" (Me and My Surrounding Environment). Referring to the characteristics of students in the concrete operational phase, the presence of this storytelling-based visual media is specifically designed to bridge the understanding of abstract ecological concepts into concrete ones. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a Nonequivalent Control Group design. The sample involved 32 students, distributed into an experimental group (15 students) and a control group (17 students). Data collection used objective test instruments (Pre-test and Post-test) which had been validated by material experts (Highly Feasible, score 4.00) and media experts (Highly Feasible, score 3.86). Statistical testing using the Independent Sample T-Test obtained a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, so the Null Hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis (H1) was accepted. The learning outcomes of the experimental class were proven to increase significantly from an average of 52.47 to 88.93, while the control class only increased from 52.94 to 68.65. The calculation of the effect using the N-Gain Score showed that the experimental class achieved a score of 0.78 (High category), surpassing the control class which obtained a score of 0.31 (Moderate category). In conclusion, the implementation of the Buku Saku Cerita Lingkungan provides a very strong and significant effect in boosting learning outcomes and optimizing the environmental understanding of elementary school students.
