Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar murid pada materi posisi strategis Indonesia di kelas XI SMAN 44 Jakarta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen melalui desain non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model jigsaw dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pemberian pre-test dan post-test berupa soal pilihan ganda yang telah melalui tahap uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis, serta uji N-Gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar murid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran tipe jigsaw memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar murid. Murid pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman materi yang lebih baik dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Selain mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar, model pembelajaran jigsaw juga mendorong murid untuk lebih aktif dalam berdiskusi, bekerja sama, serta bertukar informasi dengan anggota kelompoknya selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran tipe jigsaw dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar geografi, khususnya pada materi posisi strategis Indonesia. **** This study was conducted to analyze the effect of the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on students’ learning outcomes in the topic of Indonesia’s Strategic Position in Class XI at SMAN 44 Jakarta. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of an experimental class that received instruction using the Jigsaw learning model and a control class that used a conventional learning model. Data collection techniques were carried out through the administration of pre-tests and post-tests in the form of multiple-choice questions that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing, and N-Gain tests to determine the improvement in students’ learning outcomes. The results of the study indicated that the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model had a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes. Students in the experimental class demonstrated a better improvement in understanding the material compared to those in the control class. In addition to improving learning outcomes, the Jigsaw learning model also encouraged students to be more active in discussions, collaborate, and exchange information with group members during the learning process. Therefore, the Jigsaw cooperative learning model can be used as an effective alternative learning strategy to improve geography learning outcomes, particularly on the topic of Indonesia’s Strategic Position.
