Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap guru terhadap anak berkebutuhan khusus di Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Kecamatan Grogol Petamburan, Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survey, dengan teknik random sampling dan menggunakan 70 responden yang merupakan seluruh guru di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri di Kecamatan Grogol Petamburan, Jakarta Barat. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan secara keseluruhan, sikap guru terhadap anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) di Sekolah Menengah Pertama tergolong baik. Pada aspek kognitif, sikap guru tergolong baik (68,6%), ditunjukkan oleh pemahaman yang memadai mengenai jenis, karakteristik, potensi, kemampuan, dan perbedaan individu ABK, meskipun 15,7% guru masih belum optimal dalam memahami karakteristik anak dengan kesulitan belajar. ada aspek afektif, sikap guru tergolong baik hingga sangat baik (masing-masing 45,7%), yang tercermin dari penerimaan, empati, dan respon emosional positif terhadap ABK, meskipun 8,6% guru masih menunjukkan perasaan kesal ketika ABK tidak mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan. Pada aspek konatif, sikap guru tergolong sangat baik (55,7%), yang terlihat dari perilaku melindungi, menghargai, dan memperlakukan ABK secara setara dengan siswa lainnya, meskipun 2,9% guru masih enggan membantu menyelesaikan masalah yang merugikan ABK. ***** This study aimed to examine teachers' attitudes toward students with special needs in junior high schools in Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta. The study employed a survey research method using a random sampling technique and involved 70 respondents. The findings revealed that, overall, teachers' attitudes toward students with special needs were categorized as good. In the cognitive aspect, teachers demonstrated good attitudes (68.6%), reflected in their adequate understanding of the types, characteristics, potentials, abilities, and individual differences of students with special needs, although 15.7% of teachers still lacked optimal understanding of the characteristics of students with learning difficulties. In the affective aspect, teachers' attitudes were categorized as good to very good (45.7% each), as evidenced by their acceptance, empathy, and positive emotional responses toward students with special needs; however, 8.6% of teachers still expressed feelings of frustration when these students failed to complete assigned tasks. In the conative aspect, teachers' attitudes were categorized as very good (55.7%), as demonstrated by their protective behavior, respect, and equal treatment of students with special needs compared to other students, although 2.9% of teachers were still reluctant to assist in resolving problems that adversely affected these students.
