Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPS yang sebagian besar belum Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) sebesar 80, yang diduga disebabkan oleh penggunaan media pembelajaran yang monoton dan berpusat pada guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran Card sort terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP NEGERI 97 Jakarta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi experiment dan desain one group pretest–posttest. Sampel dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling, yaitu kelas VIII-F karena memiliki nilai rata-rata terendah. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data meliputi uji normalitas (Shapiro-Wilk), uji homogenitas (Levene), dan uji hipotesis (Paired Sample T-Test) dengan bantuan program SPSS pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari 77,875 (pretest) menjadi 88,5 (posttest), atau meningkat sebesar 10,625 poin. Uji hipotesis memperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar −31,138 dengan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan media pembelajaran Card sort terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik di SMP NEGERI 97 Jakarta. Kata Kunci: media Card sort, hasil belajar, pembelajaran IPS, peserta didik SMP ***** This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Social Studies, where the majority had not yet reached the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKTP) of 80, which was presumed to be caused by the use of monotonous, teacher-centered learning methods. This study aims to determine the effect of the Card sort learning method on the learning outcomes of Grade VIII students in Social Studies at SMPN 97 Jakarta. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, namely class VIII-F, as it had the lowest average score. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques included the normality test (Shapiro-Wilk), homogeneity test (Levene), and hypothesis testing (Paired Sample T-Test) using SPSS at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed an increase in the average score from 77.875 (pretest) to 88.5 (posttest), representing an improvement of 10.625 points. Hypothesis testing yielded a t-value of −31.138 with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, so H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the Card sort learning method on the learning outcomes of students at SMPN 97 Jakarta.
