Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Komputer melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning di kelas XI TKJ SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan oleh kurangnya keterlibatan aktif dalam pembelajaran dan pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 27 siswa kelas XI TKJ tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi dengan instrumen berupa lembar observasi minat belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Rata-rata skor minat belajar pada pra-siklus sebesar 2,88 (kategori sedang), meningkat menjadi 4,18 (kategori tinggi) pada siklus I, dan meningkat kembali menjadi 5,48 (kategori sangat tinggi) pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, model Discovery Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Komputer di kelas XI TKJ SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. ***** This study aimed to improve students’ interest in learning Computer subjects through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model in Grade XI TKJ of SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. The study was motivated by the low level of students’ learning interest, which was indicated by the lack of active participation in learning and the teacher-centered learning process. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 27 students of Grade XI TKJ in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation and documentation using a student learning interest observation sheet. The results showed that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model improved students’ learning interest. The average score of learning interest in the pre-cycle was 2.88 (moderate category), increased to 4.18 (high category) in Cycle I, and increased again to 5.48 (very high category) in Cycle II. Therefore, the Discovery Learning model was effective in improving students’ interest in learning Computer subjects in Grade XI TKJ of SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta.
