Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) yang dilaksanakan oleh guru Praktik Keterampilan Mengajar (PKM) di Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket yang terdiri atas 43 butir pernyataan dengan skala empat kategori yang mencakup aspek penyampaian materi, metode pembelajaran, interaksi guru dengan siswa, pengelolaan kelas, serta penilaian dan evaluasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif melalui perhitungan skor total, rata-rata, dan persentase keidealan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran IPS oleh guru PKM berada pada kategori sangat baik. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek interaksi guru dengan siswa merupakan aspek yang memperoleh penilaian paling tinggi, diikuti oleh aspek penyampaian materi, penilaian dan evaluasi, metode pembelajaran, serta pengelolaan kelas sebagai aspek dengan penilaian relatif paling rendah. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan persepsi yang sangat positif terhadap pembelajaran IPS yang dilaksanakan oleh guru PKM. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPS serta kompetensi calon guru. **** This study aimed to describe students' perceptions of Social Studies (IPS) learning conducted by Teaching Practice (PKM) teachers at a junior high school. The study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive method. The research participants consisted of 35 students. The research instrument was a questionnaire comprising 43 statements rated on a four-point scale, covering the aspects of material delivery, teaching methods, teacher–student interaction, classroom management, and assessment and evaluation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics through the calculation of total scores, mean scores, and the ideal percentage. The findings revealed that students' perceptions of Social Studies learning conducted by PKM teachers were categorized as very good. The results further indicated that teacher–student interaction was the highest-rated aspect, followed by material delivery, assessment and evaluation, teaching methods, and classroom management as the relatively lowest-rated aspect. Overall, the findings demonstrate that students have highly positive perceptions of Social Studies learning conducted by PKM teachers. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for evaluating and improving the quality of Social Studies instruction as well as the professional competence of prospective teachers.
