Abstract

Penelitian terkait upcycle denim bekas menjadi tas paspop bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan kembali denim bekas menjadi produk baru dengan penetapan teknik upcycle merubah bentuk, serta menciptakan tas paspop yang fashionable ketika dipakai dan ramah lingkungan. Metode penelitian pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen, jenis pre-experimental design, melalui bentuk one shot case study. Pada penelitian ini menghasilkan lima produk tas paspop yang dinilai oleh lima panelis ahli berdasarkan kuesioner campuran yang terdiri dari 23 pernyataan dengan menggunakan perhitungan rating scale. Tahap penelitian ini meliputi perancangan produk, pembuatan produk, penyusunan instrumen, penilaian oleh panelis ahli, dan analisis data. Upcycle denim bekas menjadi tas paspop dinilai menurut teori Kotler & Keller terkait product differentiation berdasarkan aspek bentuk (form), fitur (features), kualitas kinerja (performance quality), kesesuaian kualitas (conformance quality), keandalan (reliability), dan gaya (style). Hasil penelitian akhir secara keseluruhan dari kelima produk tas paspop memperoleh skor sebesar 2.744 dari skor maksimal 2.875 dengan persentase 95,44% yang termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Baik (SB). Menurut penilaian dan saran panelis, produk upcycle denim bekas menjadi tas paspop dinilai memiliki kualitas yang baik, namun masih memiliki peluang untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut seperti penambahan fitur-fitur yang fungsional lagi agar memiliki fitur tas paspop yang lengkap. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini telah memenuhi penilaian berdasarkan penilaian product differentiation menurut teori Kotler & Keller. Hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan produk tas yang bernilai fungsional dan berkelanjutan. ***** Research on upcycling used denim into paspop bags aims to reuse used denim into new products through the application of upcycling techniques that transform their shape, as well as to create paspop bags that are fashionable to wear and environmentally friendly. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with an experimental approach, specifically a pre-experimental design in the form of a one- shot case study. This research produced five paspop bag products that were evaluated by five expert panelists based on a mixed questionnaire consisting of 23 statements using rating scale calculations. The stages of this research include product design, product creation, instrument development, assessment by expert panelists, and data analysis. The upcycling of used denim into paspop bags was evaluated according to Kotler & Keller's theory of product differentiation, based on the aspects of form, features, performance quality, conformance quality, reliability, and style. The overall final results from the five paspop bag products obtained a score of 2,744 out of a maximum score of 2,875, with a percentage of 95.44%, which falls into the "Very Good" category. According to the panelists' assessments and suggestions, the upcycled denim paspop bag products were considered to have good quality, but still have room for further development, such as adding more functional features so that the paspop bags have a more complete set of features. Thus, this research has fulfilled the assessment criteria based on the product differentiation theory of Kotler & Keller. The results of this research are expected to serve as a reference for the development of functional and sustainable bag products.
