Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh penilaian estetika produk jaket streetwear menggunakan sisa kain produksi denim dan kain lurik dengan teknik slashing dan cutting asimetris. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen, jenis pre-experimental design berbentuk one-shot case study. Penelitian menghasilkan lima produk jaket streetwear model fireman clasp jacket. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket yang terdiri atas 23 butir pernyataan dengan skala pengukuran rating scale yang dinilai oleh lima panelis ahli di bidang desain busana, tekstil, dan fashion. Tahap penelitian meliputi perancangan produk, pembuatan produk, validasi instrumen, penilaian panelis ahli, dan analisis data. Penilaian estetika produk mengacu pada teori estetika A.A.M. Djelantik yang meliputi aspek wujud/rupa, bobot/isi, dan penampilan/penyajian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian estetika produk memperoleh persentase keseluruhan sebesar 93,9% dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Aspek wujud/rupa memperoleh hasil 95%, aspek penampilan/penyajian memperoleh persentase tertinggi sebesar 93,8%, dan diikuti bobot/isi sebesar 93%. Produk 3 memperoleh hasil penilaian tertinggi sebesar 95,3%, sedangkan produk 1 memperoleh hasil terendah sebesar 93,7%, namun seluruh produk tetap berada pada kategori Sangat Baik. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan sisa kain produksi denim dan kain lurik melalui teknik slashing dan cutting asimetris mampu menghasilkan produk jaket streetwear yang memiliki nilai estetika dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Kata kunci: estetika produk, streetwear, kain lurik, upcycling, slashing. ***** This study aimed to evaluate the aesthetics of streetwear jacket products made from denim production fabric waste and lurik fabric using slashing and asymmetrical cutting techniques. The research employed a quantitative approach with an experimental method using a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-shot case study. The study produced five streetwear jacket products in the fireman clasp jacket style. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 23 statement items measured with a rating scale and assessed by five expert panelists in the fields of fashion design, textiles, and fashion. The research stages included product design, product development, instrument validation, expert evaluation, and data analysis. The product aesthetics were assessed based on A.A.M. Djelantik's aesthetic theory, which consists of the aspects of form, content, and presentation. The results showed that the overall aesthetic assessment achieved a score of 93.9%, categorized as Very Good. The form aspect obtained 95%, the presentation aspect achieved 93.8%, and the content aspect reached 93%. Product 3 received the highest score of 95.3%, while Product 1 obtained the lowest score of 93.7%; however, all products were classified as Very Good. Therefore, the utilization of denim production fabric waste combined with lurik fabric through slashing and asymmetrical cutting techniques successfully produced streetwear jackets with a Very Good level of aesthetic quality.
