Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi AI terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, baik secara langsung maupun melalui mediasi metakognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 36 Jakarta yang mengikuti mata pelajaran Ekonomi, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 108 siswa yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner berskala Likert dan dianalisis dengan metode Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) berbantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) literasi AI berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis; (2) literasi AI berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap metakognitif; (3) metakognitif berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis; dan (4) metakognitif mampu memediasi secara positif dan signifikan pengaruh literasi AI terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi literasi AI yang dimiliki siswa, maka semakin baik kemampuan metakognitif yang dimiliki sehingga turut meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi siswa dalam membiasakan diri untuk mengevaluasi hasil AI, bagi guru dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran yang melatih kemampuan metakognitif, serta bagi sekolah dalam menyusun program workshop AI, sehingga secara keseluruhan dapat mendukung peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. ***** This study aims to analyze the effect of AI literacy on students' critical thinking skills, both directly and through the mediation of metacognition. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consists of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 36 Jakarta enrolled in Economics, with a sample of 108 students determined through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The results show that: (1) AI literacy has a positive and significant effect on critical thinking skills; (2) AI literacy has a positive and significant effect on metacognition; (3) metacognition has a positive and significant effect on critical thinking skills; and (4) metacognition positively and significantly mediates the effect of AI literacy on critical thinking skills. These findings indicate that the higher the AI literacy possessed by students, the better their metacognitive ability, which in turn enhances their critical thinking skills. The results of this study are expected to serve as input for students in developing the habit of evaluating AI-generated outputs, for teachers in designing learning activities that train metacognitive skills, and for schools in developing AI-related workshop programs, thereby collectively supporting the improvement of students' critical thinking skills.
