Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, serta belum tersedianya media pembelajaran yang menyajikan materi alat listrik penataan rambut secara lengkap dalam satu media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif pada materi alat listrik penataan rambut yang layak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam mata kuliah Perawatan, Pratata, dan Penataan Rambut di Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Rias Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Canva yang memuat materi penggunaan hair dryer, flat iron, curling iron, dan crimping iron, dilengkapi dengan gambar, video, kuis interaktif, dan fitur navigasi. Uji kelayakan dilakukan oleh 1 ahli materi dan 1 ahli media, uji praktikalitas dilakukan kepada 25 orang, sedangkan efektivitas dilakukan kepada 13 orang mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Rias. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media memperoleh nilai validasi ahli materi sebesar 86% dan ahli media sebesar 88% dengan kategori sangat layak. Uji praktikalitas memperoleh persentase 95,88% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Uji efektivitas menunjukkan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,72 yang termasuk kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran interaktif yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa pada materi alat listrik penataan rambut. This study was conducted in response to the limited instructional time, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and the absence of comprehensive learning media that integrate all materials related to hair styling electrical equipment into a single learning platform. The objective of this study was to develop an interactive learning media on hair styling electrical equipment that is valid, practical, and effective for use in the Hair Care, Hair Design, and Hair Styling course in the Cosmetology Education Study Program at Jakarta State University. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE instructional design model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product developed was a Canva-based interactive learning media containing instructional materials on the use of hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, and crimping irons. The media was enhanced with supporting features, including images, videos, interactive quizzes, and navigation menus to facilitate learning. The feasibility of the product was evaluated by one subject matter expert and one media expert. The practicality test involved 25 participants, while the effectiveness test was conducted with 13 students from the Cosmetology Education Study Program. The findings indicated that the interactive learning media achieved a validation score of 86% from the subject matter expert and 88% from the media expert, both of which were classified as highly valid. The practicality test yielded a score of 95.88%, indicating that the media was highly practical for learning purposes. Furthermore, the effectiveness test resulted in an average N-Gain score of 0.72, which falls within the high category. Based on these findings, the developed interactive learning media can be concluded to be valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ understanding of hair styling electrical equipment materials.
