Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan estetika pada sepatu casual wanita berbahan kain belacu dengan teknik fabric manipulationberupa ruffles dan tucking, ditinjau berdasarkan teori estetika yang meliputi aspek kesatuan (unity), kerumitan (complexity), dan kesungguhan (intensity). Kain belacu dipilih sebagai bahan utama karena berpotensi menjadi alternatif material ramah lingkungan di tengah tingginya penggunaan bahan sintetis pada industri alas kaki yang menimbulkan permasalahan pencemaran mikroplastik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental dengan desain one-shot case study dan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Objek penelitian berupa lima produk sepatu wanita berjudul “Lestari” dengan model flatshoes, yaitu low-top sneakers, loafers, slip-on, mary jane, dan high-top sneakers, yang mengacu pada Fashion Trend Forecast RECODE 2026/2027 dengan tema essential grace dengan sub tema pure form dengan sumber inspirasi gaya vintage lolita style. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner campuran tertutup dan terbuka yang terdiri atas 31 pernyataan valid, dinilai oleh lima panelis ahli di bidang fashion accessories, fabric manipulation, desain produk mode, sustainable design, serta desainer sepatu dan shoesmaking. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian estetika sepatu wanita menggunakan kain belacu secara keseluruhan memperoleh persentase sebesar 84,96% dengan kategori sangat baik. Aspek kesungguhan memperoleh persentase tertinggi sebesar 85,86%, diikuti aspek kesatuan sebesar 85,68%, sedangkan aspek kerumitan memperoleh persentase terendah sebesar 83,36%. Produk 1 (low-top sneakers) memperoleh nilai tertinggi sebesar 86,45%, sementara produk 2 (loafers) memperoleh nilai terendah sebesar 83,74% Kata Kunci: estetika, kain belacu, sepatu wanita, fabric manipulation, ruffles, tucking, sustainable fashion ***** This study aims to analyze the application of aesthetics in women's casual shoes made from unbleached calico fabric (kain belacu) using the fabric manipulationtechniques of ruffles and tucking, based on aesthetic theory, which includes the aspects of unity, complexity, and intensity. Calico was chosen as the main material because of its potential as an environmentally friendly alternative amid the widespread use of synthetic materials in the footwear industry, which contributes to microplastic pollution. This research employed a pre-experimental method with a one-shot case study design and a quantitative descriptive approach. The research object consisted of five women's shoe products titled “Lestari,” in the form of flat shoes, low-top sneakers, loafers, slip-ons, mary janes, and high-top sneakers designed based on the RECODE 2026/2027 Fashion Trend Forecast under the theme essential grace and sub-theme pure form, inspired by the vintage lolita style. Data were collected through a mixed open and closed questionnaire consisting of 31 valid statements, assessed by five expert panelists in the fields of fashion accessories, fabric manipulation, fashion product design, sustainable design, as well as footwear design and shoemaking. The results showed that the overall aesthetic assessment of the women's shoes using calico fabric obtained a percentage of 84.96%, categorized as very good. The intensity aspect obtained the highest percentage at 85.86%, followed by the unity aspect at 85.68%, while the complexity aspect obtained the lowest percentage at 83.36%. Product 1 (low-top sneakers) obtained the highest score at 86.45%, while Product 2 (loafers) obtained the lowest score at 83.74%.
