Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model multiliterasi berbantuan media Augmented Reality (AR) terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks berita peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 229 Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik yang ditunjukkan melalui kesulitan dalam menemukan gagasan utama, mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur berita, menarik kesimpulan, serta memahami informasi secara mendalam. Selain itu, pembelajaran membaca masih didominasi oleh penggunaan metode konvensional dan belum memanfaatkan media digital interaktif yang mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 229 Jakarta, sedangkan sampel penelitian terdiri atas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks berita, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes objektif yang disusun berdasarkan indikator kemampuan membaca pemahaman menurut Taksonomi Barrett yang meliputi pemahaman literal, reorganisasi, inferensial, evaluatif, dan apresiasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model multiliterasi berbantuan media Augmented Reality (AR) memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks berita peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 229 Jakarta. Peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh peningkatan hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan peserta didik pada kelas kontrol. Penggunaan media Augmented Reality (AR) dalam sintaks model multiliterasi mampu membantu peserta didik memahami isi berita secara lebih kontekstual, meningkatkan keterlibatan dalam pembelajaran, serta mempermudah proses interpretasi informasi melalui penyajian materi yang interaktif dan multimodal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model multiliterasi berbantuan media Augmented Reality (AR) efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks berita dan dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran inovatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. ******** This study aims to determine the effect of a multiliteracy model supported by Augmented Reality (AR) media on the news text reading comprehension skills of 7th-grade students at SMPN 229 Jakarta. The study was motivated by the students' low reading comprehension skills, evidenced by difficulties in identifying main ideas, recognizing news elements, drawing conclusions, and comprehending information in depth. Furthermore, reading instruction remains dominated by conventional methods and has not yet utilized digital interactive media capable of enhancing student engagement in the learning process. This study employs a quantitative approach using an experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The research population consisted of 7th-grade students at SMPN 229 Jakarta, with the sample divided into experimental and control classes. Data collection techniques included news text reading comprehension tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instrument was a test developed based on reading comprehension indicators from Barrett's Taxonomy, covering literal comprehension, reorganization, inference, evaluation, and appreciation. Data analysis involved normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results indicate that the implementation of the multiliteracy model supported by Augmented Reality (AR) media positively influenced the news reading comprehension skills of 7th-grade students at SMPN 229 Jakarta. Students in the experimental class achieved greater improvements in learning outcomes compared to those in the control class. The use of Augmented Reality (AR) media within the multiliteracy model framework helped students understand news content in a more contextual manner, increased engagement in learning, and facilitated the interpretation of information through the presentation of interactive and multimodal material. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the multiliteracy model supported by Augmented Reality (AR) media is effective for teaching news text reading comprehension and serves as an innovative instructional alternative to enhance students' literacy skills in the Indonesian language subject.
