Abstract

Tiara Fadila. Estetika Motif Batik Lontara Pada Produk Tote Bag. Dra. Vivi Radiona Sofyani Putri, M.Pd., Jafar Sodik, S.Pd., M.Ds., skripsi, Jakarta: Program Studi Sarjana Terapan Desain Mode, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2026. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh hasil motif batik lontara yang dibuat produk tote bag kemudian diberi material teknik matelase (inggris) berdasarkan estetika Dharsono yang indikatornya terdiri dari Unsur-Unsur Rupa (Unsur Desain), Dasar-Dasar penyusunan (Prinsip Desain) dan Hukum Penyusunan (Asas Desain) . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental, berupa one shot case study. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket campuran terbuka dan tertutup yang akan dinilai oleh lima orang panelis ahli dibidangnya. Penelitian ini menghasilkan lima produk tote bag dengan teknik matelase (inggris) dan dinilai menggunakan rating scale. Hasil penilaian kualitas produk secara keseluruhan berdasarkan unsur desain, prinsip desain, dan asas desain mendapatkan nilai 91,51% dengan kategori sangat baik. Produk tote bag dengan penilaian tertinggi memperoleh nilai sebesar 93,8% masuk dalam kategori sangat baik karena desain tersebut merupakan desain yang paling unik dan mencakup semua semua aspek penilaian Produk tote bag dengan penilaian terendah memperoleh nilai sebesar 87,5% namun tetap berada dalam kategori baik karena desain tersebut memiliki kesan visual yang cenderung statis dan kurang memiliki daya tarik eksploratif dibandingkan desain lainnya/***Tiara Fadila. This study aims to produce Lontara batik patterns for tote bags, which are then embellished using the matelassé technique based on Dharsono’s aesthetic principles, whose indicators consist of Visual Elements (Design Elements), Composition Fundamentals (Design Principles), and Composition Rules (Design Principles). This study employs a quantitative descriptive method with a pre-experimental research design, specifically a one-shot case study. Data collection utilized a mixed questionnaire consisting of open-ended and closed-ended questions, which were evaluated by a panel of five experts in their respective fields. This study produced five tote bag products using the matelassé technique (English) and evaluated them using a rating scale. The overall product quality assessment, based on design elements, design principles, and design foundations, received a score of 91.51%, falling into the “very good” category. The tote bag with the highest score received a rating of 93.8%, falling into the “very good” category because its design was the most unique and met all evaluation criteria. The tote bag with the lowest score received a rating of 87.5% but still fell into the “good” category because its design had a visual impression that tended to be static and lacked the exploratory appeal of the other designs.
