Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi Atmosfer akibat pembelajaran yang didominasi metode ceramah, penggunaan media yang masih terbatas pada buku teks, serta karakteristik materi Atmosfer yang bersifat konseptual dan memerlukan visualisasi sehingga peserta didik mengalami kesulitan memahami materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media belajar buku saku digital terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 8 Jakarta pada materi Atmosfer. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian ditentukan menggunakan purposive sampling yang terdiri atas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 33 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pre-test dan post-test. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan media buku saku digital, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan media PowerPoint. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelas mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar, namun peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis Independent Sample t-test menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,002 < 0,05 dengan t hitung = 3,276 > t tabel = 1,998, sehingga H₀ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa penyajian materi yang ringkas, sistematis, serta dilengkapi ilustrasi, diagram, dan infografis mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterlibatan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media belajar buku saku digital berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi Atmosfer. ***** This This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students on the Atmosphere topic due to the predominance of lecture-based instruction, the limited use of learning media to printed textbooks, and the conceptual nature of the Atmosphere topic, which requires visual representation to facilitate students' understanding. This study aimed to analyze the effect of using a digital pocketbook as a learning medium on the learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 8 Jakarta on the Atmosphere topic. The study employed a quasi-experimental method using a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was selected through purposive sampling and consisted of an experimental class and a control class, each comprising 33 students. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test instruments. The experimental class was taught using the digital pocketbook, while the control class used PowerPoint as the learning medium. The results indicated that both classes showed improvement in learning outcomes; however, the experimental class demonstrated greater improvement than the control class. The Independent Sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.002 (< 0.05) with a t-value of 3.276, which was higher than the t-table value of 1.998, indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The findings suggest that the concise, systematic presentation of the material, supported by illustrations, diagrams, and infographics, enhanced students' conceptual understanding and engagement in the learning process. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of a digital pocketbook has a positive and significant effect on students' learning outcomes in the Atmosphere topic.
