Abstract

***** The speed of non-containerized cargo identification is a crucial factor in determining the smooth flow of port logistics. At PT Tata Bandar Samudera, operational activities in the Warehouse and Delivery section still face inefficiency issues due to the manual verification of physical cargo markings against separate paper documents, such as packing lists, manifests, and recap cargo. This manual practice increases the risk of recording mistakes by field workers (human error) and hampers real-time information exchange between work shifts. This study aims to design and develop a prototype of a Website Database-Based Goods Marking Information System as a centralized digital solution. The methodology used is Research and Development (R&D) by implementing the 3D development model (Define, Design, Develop). The system was built using the Laravel framework with a MySQL database, and its feasibility was evaluated directly in the field by port warehouse operational practitioners. The trial evaluation results showed a very high level of empirical feasibility, with percentage scores of 90%, 94%, and 92%, respectively. Consequently, this information system is declared highly feasible and effective in enhancing cargo stacking efficiency, simplifying Tally Man mobility tasks, and eliminating operational bottlenecks in the penumpukan area.
