Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh penilaian produk outerwear berupa rompi yang menerapkan motif yang dihasilkan dari teknik pewarnaan rust dyeing. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen, jenis pre-eksperimental design, berbentuk one shot case study. Penelitian ini menghasilkan lima produk outerwear berupa rompi yang menerapkan motif rust dyeing. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket yang terdiri dari 15 butir pernyataan dengan skala pengukuran rating scale dan diberikan kepada tujuh panelis ahli dibidang fashion. Tahap penelitian meliputi eksplorasi motif rust dyeing, perancangan produk, pembuatan produk, penyusunan instrument, penilaian oleh panelis ahli dan analisis data. Penerapan motif rust dyeing pada outerwear berupa rompi dinilai berdasarlan dimensi kualitas produk menurut David Garvin (1988) yang mencakup kinerja, fitur, kesesuaian, dan estetika. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kualitas produk secara keseluruhan berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Pada aspek kinerja, produk memperoleh presentase sebesar 90.28% dengan kategori sangat baik; aspek fitur memperoleh presentase sebesar 88.57% dengan kategori sangat baik; aspek kesesuaian memperoleh hasil 90.14% dengan kategori sangat baik; dan terakhir aspek estetika yang memperoleh hasil 89.21% dengan kategori sangat baik. Produk dengan kategori hasil akhir tertinggi didapatkan oleh Produk 5, dengan hasil akhir 90.47%. sementara itu, Produk 4 mendapatkan hasil akhir terendah dengan presentase 88.19% namun tetap berada dalam kategori sangat baik. ***** This study aims to assess outerwear products in the form of vests that incorporate motifs created using the rust dyeing technique. The approach used in this study was quantitative with an experimental method, a pre-experimental design, and a one-shot case study. This study resulted in five outerwear products in the form of vests that incorporate rust dyeing motifs. Data collection procedures were conducted using a questionnaire consisting of 15 statements with a rating scale and administered to seven expert panelists in the fashion field. The research stages included exploration of rust dyeing motifs, product design, product manufacturing, instrument development, assessment by expert panelists, and data analysis. The application of rust dyeing motifs to outerwear in the form of vests was assessed based on the product quality dimensions according to David Garvin (1988), which include performance, features, suitability, and aesthetics. The results of the study indicate that the overall product quality is in the very good category. In terms of performance, the product achieved a score of 90.28%, categorized as very good; in terms of features, it achieved a score of 88.57%, categorized as very good; in terms of suitability, it achieved a score of 90.14%, categorized as very good; and finally, in terms of aesthetics, it achieved a score of 89.21%, categorized as very good. Product 5 achieved the highest final result, with a score of 90.47%. Meanwhile, Product 4 achieved the lowest final result, with a score of 88.19%, but still categorized as very good.
