Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep geometri menjadi salah satu kendala dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Geometri merupakan salah satu materi penting yang membantu peserta didik mengenal bentuk, ruang, serta hubungan antarbangun yang dijumpai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) bangun datar yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas II sekolah dasar. LKPD dikembangkan berdasarkan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, validasi ahli, dan angket respons peserta didik, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD bangun datar yang dikembangkan memperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 93% dari ahli materi, 93% dari ahli media, dan 97% dari ahli bahasa dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil uji coba kepada peserta didik juga menunjukkan respons yang sangat baik, yaitu memperoleh persentase sebesar 93% pada uji coba perseorangan (one-to-one), 93% pada uji coba kelompok kecil (small group), dan 96% pada uji coba lapangan (field test). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas II sekolah dasar. Dengan demikian, LKPD bangun datar berbasis Problem Based Learning layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pendukung dalam pembelajaran matematika karena mampu membantu peserta didik memahami konsep geometri secara lebih bermakna, meningkatkan keaktifan belajar, serta menjadi alternatif bahan ajar yang menarik bagi guru. Geometry is an essential area of mathematics that helps students recognise various shapes, understand the relationships among geometric figures, and relate geometric concepts to objects encountered in everyday life. Therefore, appropriate instructional materials are needed to facilitate active and meaningful learning. This study aimed to develop a Student Worksheet (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik or LKPD) on plane figures that is suitable for use in mathematics learning for second-grade elementary school students. This study employed the Four-D (4D) development model, consisting of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Research data were collected through interviews, expert validation, and students' response questionnaires and were analysed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that the developed LKPD obtained feasibility scores of 93% from the material expert, 93% from the media expert, and 97% from the language expert, all of which were categorised as highly feasible. The field trials also demonstrated very positive responses from the students, with scores of 93% in the one-to-one evaluation, 93% in the small-group evaluation, and 96% in the field test. These findings indicate that the developed LKPD is highly feasible for use in mathematics learning for second-grade elementary school students. Therefore, the Problem-Based Learning-based LKPD on plane figures is suitable as a supplementary instructional material because it helps students develop a more meaningful understanding of geometric concepts, encourages active participation in the learning process, and provides teachers with an engaging alternative teaching resource.
