Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian estetika terhadap penerapan motif Kerawang Gayo menggunakan teknik printing pada jaket bomber berdasarkan penilaian lima panelis ahli dengan indikator wujud/rupa, bobot/isi, dan penampilan/penyajian yang mengacu pada Indonesia Trend Forecasting 2026/2027 tema Recode subtema Origin Code. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimental (one-shot case study). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket (kuesioner) menggunakan rating scale kepada lima panelis ahli dengan variabel tunggal, yaitu penilaian estetika terhadap penerapan motif Kerawang Gayo menggunakan teknik printing pada jaket bomber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan penerapan motif Kerawang Gayo menggunakan teknik printing pada jaket bomber memperoleh kategori sangat baik. Aspek estetika yang memperoleh nilai tertinggi adalah wujud/rupa dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 84% (kategori sangat baik), diikuti aspek bobot/isi sebesar 83% (kategori sangat baik), dan aspek penampilan/penyajian sebesar 81% (kategori sangat baik). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan motif Kerawang Gayo menggunakan teknik printing pada jaket bomber mampu memadukan unsur budaya lokal dengan konsep busana modern sehingga menghasilkan produk yang memiliki kualitas estetika tinggi berdasarkan aspek visual, makna, dan penyajiannya. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan motif Kerawang Gayo menggunakan teknik printing pada jaket bomber dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam pengembangan desain fesyen berbasis budaya lokal yang tetap mempertahankan identitas budaya serta relevan dengan perkembangan tren fesyen modern. ***** This study aimed to determine the aesthetic evaluation of the application of the Gayo Kerawang motif using the printing technique on a bomber jacket based on the assessments of five expert panelists. The evaluation employed the aesthetic indicators of form, content, and presentation, referring to the Indonesia Trend Forecasting 2026/2027 theme Recode with the subtheme Origin Code. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-shot case study design. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a rating scale administered to five expert panelists. The study used a single variable, namely the aesthetic evaluation of the application of the Gayo Kerawang motif using the printing technique on a bomber jacket. The results showed that, overall, the application of the Gayo Kerawang motif using the printing technique on a bomber jacket was categorized as very good. The highest aesthetic score was obtained in the aspect of form, with an average percentage of 84% (very good category), followed by content at 83% (very good category), and presentation at 81% (very good category). These findings indicate that the application of the Gayo Kerawang motif using the printing technique on a bomber jacket successfully integrates elements of local culture with modern fashion concepts, resulting in a product with high aesthetic quality in terms of visual appearance, meaning, and presentation. The application of the Gayo Kerawang motif using the printing technique on a bomber jacket can serve as an innovative alternative for developing fashion designs based on local culture while preserving cultural identity and remaining relevant to contemporary fashion trends.
