Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh penilaian produk tekstil kain shibori hasil penerapan pewarna alami sisa kulit bawang merah pada teknik shibori berdasarkan aspek estetika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan Design Pre-Ekspremental jenis One Shot Case Study. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang terdiri dari 15 pertanyaan dengan skala penilaian (rating scale) yang diberikan kepada lima panelis ahli. Penelitian ini menghasilkan lima produk shibori berdasarkan penilaian estetika terdiri dari tiga aspek yaitu aspek wujud/rupa (garis, bentuk, warna), bobot/isi (gagasan) dan penampilan/penyajian (sarana/media). serta teori unsur desain (ukuran). Hasil penilaian secara keseluruhan berdasarkan aspek wujud/rupa, bobot/isi dan penampilan/penyajian. Aspek wujud/rupa memperoleh nilai 87,3% dengan kategori baik, Aspek bobot/isi memperoleh nilai 92,4% dengan kategori sangat baik dan Aspek penampilan dan penyajian memperoleh nilai 91,2% dengan kategori sangat baik. Aspek unsur desain memperoleh nilai 82,4% dengan kategori baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan pewarna alami dari sisa kulit bawang merah pada kombinasi teknik kanoko shibori, kumo shibori dan nui shibori menghasilkan produk kain yang memperoleh nilai akhir 88,5% kategori baik. Dapat disimpulkan telah memenuhi aspek estetika berdasarkan aspek wujud/rupa, bobot/isi, dan penampilan/penyajian, serta unsur desain berpotensi menjadi alternatif pewarna alami dalam pengembangan produk tekstil yang lebih ramah lingkungan serta konsep keberlanjutan. Kata Kunci : pewarna alami, sisa kulit bawang merah, kombinasi teknik shibori, estetika ***** This study aims to obtain an assessment of shibori textile products resulting from the application of natural dyes from red onion skins in the shibori technique based on aesthetic aspects. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a One Shot Case Study Pre-Experimental Design. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire consisting of 15 questions with a rating scale given to five expert panelists. This study produced five shibori products based on aesthetic assessments consisting of three aspects, namely the form/appearance aspect (line, shape, color), weight/content (idea) and appearance/presentation (means/media). as well as the theory of design elements (size). The overall assessment results are based on the form/appearance aspect, weight/content and appearance/presentation. The form/appearance aspect obtained a value of 87.3% with a good category, the weight/content aspect obtained a value of 92.4% with a very good category and the appearance and presentation aspect obtained a value of 91.2% with a very good category. The design element aspect obtained a value of 82.4% with a good category. The results of the study showed that the application of natural dyes from the remaining shallot skins in a combination of kanoko shibori, kumo shibori and nui shibori techniques produced a fabric product that obtained a final score of 88.5% in the good category. It can be concluded that it has fulfilled the aesthetic aspects based on the aspects of form/shape, weight/content, and appearance/presentation, as well as design elements that have the potential to be an alternative natural dye in the development of more environmentally friendly textile products and the concept of sustainability.
