Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Exposure, Generalization, Reinforcement, dan Application (EGRA) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X SMA Daya Utama Bekasi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain two group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 56 siswa yang terbagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 28 siswa. Data diperoleh melalui tes menulis teks eksposisi (pretest dan posttest) kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial yang meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen dengan nilai signifikansi uji normalitas dan homogenitas lebih besar dari 0,05. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) < 0,001 sehingga hipotesis nol (H₀) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Exposure, Generalization, Reinforcement, dan Application (EGRA) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X SMA Daya Utama Bekasi dan dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran EGRA, keterampilan menulis, teks eksposisi, penelitian eksperimen. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of the Exposure, Generalization, Reinforcement, and Application (EGRA) learning model on the expository writing skills of 10th-grade students at Daya Utama High School in Bekasi. The study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method and a two-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 56 students divided into an experimental group and a control group, each comprising 28 students. Data were collected through expository writing tests (pretest and posttest) and then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing, with the aid of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results indicate that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous, with significance values for the normality and homogeneity tests greater than 0.05. The results of the hypothesis test using a paired-sample t-test showed a significance value (two-tailed) < 0.001; therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Thus, the Exposure, Generalization, Reinforcement, and Application (EGRA) learning model has a significant effect on the expository writing skills of 10th-grade students at Daya Utama High School in Bekasi and can be used as an alternative Indonesian language learning model to improve writing skills.
