Abstract
***** This study was motivated by the high unemployment rate among vocational high school graduates in Indonesia, which indicates that the employability skills of vocational education graduates remain low. Employability skills are the abilities individuals need to secure, maintain, and advance in the workforce. Various factors are believed to influence students’ employability skills, including soft skills, self-efficacy, digital literacy, learning motivation, career planning, and social support. Therefore, this study aims to determine the influence of these six factors on the employability skills of 11th-grade Office Management students at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study consisted of all 71 11th-grade students in the Office Management program at SMK Negeri 16 Jakarta. The sampling technique used was total sampling (saturation sampling), meaning the entire population was included in the study. Data were collected via a questionnaire distributed online using Google Forms and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS. The results of the study indicate that, when analyzed individually, soft skills have a positive and significant effect on employability skills and are the most dominant variable, with the highest beta value of 0,419. Learning motivation and career planning were also found to have a positive and significant effect on employability skills. Meanwhile, self-efficacy, digital literacy, and social support did not have a significant effect on employability skills. Simultaneously, all six variables collectively had a significant effect on employability skills, with an Adjusted R-Square value of 0,433, indicating that these six variables account for 43,3% of the variation in students’ employability skills, while the remaining 56,7% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the improvement of students’ employability skills is more influenced by internal factors, namely soft skills, learning motivation, and career planning. Therefore, the development of these three aspects needs to be a primary focus for schools in preparing graduates who are ready to enter the workforce.
