Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai estetika tote bag multifungsi berbahan leather dengan teknik patchwork berdasarkan teori estetika yang meliputi aspek wujud/rupa , bobot/isi , dan penampilan/ penyajian. Sub indikator aspek wujud meliputi garis, bentuk, warna, tekstur, harmoni, irama, keseimbangan, dan proporsi. Aspek bobot/isi meliputi ide atau konsep, sedangkan aspek penampilan /penyajian meliputi keterampilan dan sarana media pendukung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental one-shot case study. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner (angket) campuran yang terdiri atas skala penilaian (rating scale) dan pertanyaan terbuka. Penilaian dilakukan oleh lima panelis ahli terhadap lima produk tote bag multifungsi berbahan leather dengan teknik patchwork. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek bobot/isi memperoleh nilai tertinggi sebesar 95% dengan kategori Sangat Baik, diikuti aspek wujud/rupa sebesar 92% dan aspek penampilan/penyajian sebesar 87%, yang keduanya termasuk kategori Sangat Baik. Secara keseluruhan, ketiga aspek tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tote bag multifungsi berbahan leather dengan teknik patchwork telah memenuhi kriteria estetika, sehingga produk yang dihasilkan memiliki nilai estetika. **** This study aims to assess the aesthetics of multifunctional tote bags made from leather using the patchwork technique based on aesthetic theory, which includes the aspects of form/appearance, content, and presentation. The sub-indicators of the form/appearance aspect include line, shape, color, texture, harmony, rhythm, balance, and proportion. The content aspect includes ideas or concepts, while the presentation aspect includes craftsmanship and supporting media. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method with a pre-experimental One-Shot Case Study design. Data were collected through a mixed questionnaire consisting of a rating scale and open-ended questions. The assessment was conducted by five expert panelists on five multifunctional tote bag products made from leather using the patchwork technique. The results showed that the content aspect obtained the highest score of 95%, categorized as Very Good, followed by the form/appearance aspect at 92% and the presentation aspect at 87%, both categorized as Very Good. Overall, the three aspects indicate that the multifunctional tote bags made from leather using the patchwork technique meet the aesthetic criteria, demonstrating that the resulting products possess aesthetic value.
