Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas estetika motif Aceh pada desain crop jacket yang diaplikasikan menggunakan teknik printing. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah semakin menurunnya pemahaman masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda, terhadap makna motif tradisional Aceh, serta keterbatasan penerapan motif tersebut pada produk fashion modern akibat teknik bordir yang memakan waktu lama dan biaya produksi tinggi. Melalui pendekatan digital printing, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan lima desain crop jacket yang mengadaptasi motif Pinto Aceh, Awan Sion, Rencong, dan Bungong Jeumpa dengan warna yang mengacu pada Trend Forecasting 2026/2027, serta memperoleh hasil nilai dari analisis data mengenai estetika desain tersebut yang meliputi aspek wujud/rupa, bobot/isi, dan penampilan/penyajian, guna menghasilkan produk fashion yang lebih efisien, modern, dan tetap sarat nilai budaya. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain pre-experimental one-shot case study. Penilaian estetika dilakukan oleh lima panelis ahli berdasarkan teori estetika yang meliputi aspek wujud/rupa, bobot/isi, dan penampilan/penyajian, melalui instrumen kuesioner dengan skala penilaian (rating scale). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase sebesar 93,73% pada aspek wujud/rupa, 94,13% pada aspek bobot/isi, dan 97,6% pada aspek penampilan/penyajian, dengan rata-rata keseluruhan 95,25% yang termasuk kategori Sangat Baik. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan motif Aceh melalui teknik printing pada crop jacket mampu menghasilkan produk dengan nilai estetika tinggi sekaligus menjadi alternatif pelestarian budaya lokal yang lebih relevan bagi generasi muda. This research examines the aesthetics of Acehnese motifs in crop jacket design applied through printing techniques. The background of this study is the declining understanding among the public, particularly the younger generation, of the meaning behind traditional Acehnese motifs, as well as the limited application of these motifs in modern fashion products due to embroidery techniques that are timeconsuming and costly to produce. Through a digital printing approach, this research aims to develop five crop jacket designs that adapt the Pinto Aceh, Awan Sion, Rencong, and Bungong Jeumpa motifs with colors referring to the 2026/2027 Trend Forecasting, as well as to obtain aesthetic analysis data covering the aspects of form/appearance, substance/content, and presentation, in order to produce fashion products that are more efficient, modern, and rich in cultural value. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach with a pre-experimental one-shot case study design. Aesthetic assessment was conducted by five expert panelists based on aesthetic theory covering the aspects of form/appearance, substance/content, and presentation, using a questionnaire instrument with a rating scale. The results showed percentages of 93.73% for the form/appearance aspect, 94.13% for the substance/content aspect, and 97.6% for the presentation aspect, with an overall average of 95.25%, classified as “Very Good.” These findings demonstrate that the application of Acehnese motifs through printing techniques on crop jackets can produce products with high aesthetic value while serving as a more relevant alternative for the preservation of local culture among the younger generation.
