Abstract
***** This study aims to examine the influence of teacher efficacy on teacher attitudes toward inclusive education in public elementary schools (Sekolah Dasar Negeri/SDN) in Jakarta. Employing a descriptive-correlational quantitative design, this research incorporates supplementary qualitative data from structured interviews to deepen the interpretation of statistical findings. The quantitative sample comprised 67 teacher respondents obtained through purposive sampling from 102 initial responses, following a data screening process to ensure instrument validity. Teacher efficacy was measured using the Indonesian version of the Teachers' Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES), while teacher attitudes were assessed using the Indonesian version of the Multidimensional Attitudes towards Inclusive Education Scale (i-MATIES). Quantitative data were analyzed using simple linear regression, supplemented by Spearman Rank correlation to account for a ceiling effect observed in the distribution of the teacher efficacy variable. The results revealed a positive and significant influence of teacher efficacy on teacher attitudes (R²=.197; F(1,65)=15.943; p<.001), further supported by the Spearman correlation results (rho=.281; p=.021). Qualitative interview findings complemented these results by revealing that, beyond self-efficacy, teachers' attitudes were shaped by personal values toward students with special needs, life experiences, and environmental support from colleagues, parents, and available reference curricula. These findings suggest that efforts to strengthen teacher self-efficacy must be accompanied by supportive school environments to foster positive attitudes toward inclusive education. Keywords: teacher efficacy, teacher attitude, inclusive education, public elementary school
