Abstract

**** This study examines the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and the use of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) on the consumptive behavior of Generation Z in DKI Jakarta. The study is motivated by Indonesia's record-high household consumption expenditure, the dominant share of Generation Z in the national and Jakarta population, and the rapid growth of QRIS adoption as a digital payment instrument. A quantitative associative-causal design was employed, with primary data collected from 200 respondents selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0. All research instruments were declared valid (r-count > r-table of 0.3338) and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.70). The results show that financial literacy has a significant negative effect on consumptive behavior (B = -1.135; t = -6.208; p = .000), whereas lifestyle (B = 0.667; t = 3.529; p = .001) and QRIS usage (B = 0.675; t = 5.604; p = .000) each have a significant positive effect. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect consumptive behavior (F = 25.922; p < .001), explaining 27.3% of its variance (Adjusted R² = .284), while the remaining 71,6% is explained by factors outside the model. These findings support the Theory of Planned Behavior in explaining Generation Z's consumption decisions and provide practical implications for Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), higher education institutions, and Generation Z itself in promoting healthier financial behavior amid the convenience of digital payment systems.
