Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami konflik batin yang dialami oleh tokoh Koichi Shikishima dalam film Godzilla Minus One serta faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya konflik batin dan juga mekanisme pertahanan yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi konflik batin. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Teori-teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa teori konflik batin Lewin dan teori kecemasan Freud untuk menganalisis bentuk konflik batin tokoh Shikishima, teori psikoanalisis Freud untuk menganalisis faktor penyebab terjadinya konflik batin, dan teori mekanisme pertahanan Freud untuk menganalisis bagaimana tokoh Shikishima mengatasi konflik batin yang dialaminya. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa 11 data yang menunjukan terjadi konflik batin yang terbagi menjadi dua konflik tipe 1 yaitu konflik menjauh-menjauh sebanyak 6 data dan konflik mendekat-menjauh sebanyak 5 data. Konflik batin yang dialami tokoh menyebabkan kecemasan muncul dalam bentuk kecemasan realistik, kecemasan neurotik dan kecemasan moral. Faktor yang mendorong terjadinya konflik batin pada tokoh Shikishima adalah pertentangan antara id dan superego tokoh. Dalam mengatasi konflik batin, ego tokoh Shikishima melakukan mekanisme pertahanan berupa represi, agresi, denial dan rasionalisasi. ***** The purpose of this research was to understand the inner conflict of Godzilla Minus One character, Koichi Shikishima and also to understand the factors behind the inner conflict and the defence mechanism that was done to counter the inner conflict. This research was done using qualitative descriptive method with a literary psychology approach. The theories used on this research was Lewin’s conflict theory and Freud’s anxiety theory for analyzing the forms of Shikishima’s inner conflict, Freud’s psychoanalysis theory for analyzing factors that caused Shikishima’s inner conflict, and Freud’s defence mechanism theory for analyzing how Shikishima deal with his inner conflict. The results of this research produced 11 data that proved inner conflict happened which was divided into two type 1 conflict, 6 data of avoidance-avoidance conflicts and 5 data of approach-avoidance conflicts. The inner conflict experienced by the character caused anxiety to surface in the forms of realistic anxiety, neurotic anxiety, and moral anxiety. The cause of inner conflict that happened to Shikishima was the clashing between id and superego. In order to deal with the inner conflict, Shikishima’s ego employed defense mechanism such as repression, agression, denial, and rationalization.
