Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangin oleh kebutuhan ibu rumah tangga sebagai pembelajar dewasa (andragogi) akan media pembelajaran Bahasa Arab yang fleksibel, aplikatif dan sesuai dengan kesibukan keseharian ibu rumah tangga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul ajar Bahasa arab berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang valid, praktis dan efektif digunakan oleh ibu rumah tangga dalam belajar mandiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini adalah ibu rumah tangga yang mengikuti program pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di Majelis Taklim di Gunung Putri, Bogor dengan peserta didik 28-30 orang ibu rumah tangga. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan angket evaluasi. Hasil peneleitian pada tahap analisis menunjukan bahwa ibu rumah tangga membutuhkan modul ajar yang mandiri, kontekstual, fleksibel dan tidak membebani psikologis karena keterbatasan waktu. Materi modul difokuskan pada dua konsep utama, yaitu kosakata dasar yang menyesuaikan dengan keseharian mereka dan membantu dalam mendampingi anak belajar dirumah, serta pengaitan kosakata dan materi dengan ayat-ayat Al-Quran (Surat pendek dan surat pilihan). Modul dikembangkan dengan model CTL yang mengaitkan materi dengan aktivitas keseharian ibu rumah tangga, serta dirancang dalam dua format (digital dan cetak) untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan peserta didik yang beragam. Validasi modul dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media dengan hasil 79% dengan kategori “layak”. Uji coba lapangan menunjukan bahwa modul ini praktis dan efektif digunakan, dengan respon positf dari peserta didik serta peningkatan pemahaman kosakata dan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul ajar Bahasa Arab berbasis CTL yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran mandiri bagi ibu rumah tangga. Modul ini terbukti dapat membantu peserta didik dalam meningkatkan pemahaman Bahasa Arab sekaligus memberikan manfaat spiritual dalam memahami kosakata Al-Quran. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan lebih lanjut pada materi yang lebih luas dan lebih interaktif menyesuaikan karakteristik ibu-ibu ***** This study was motivated by the need of housewives, as adult learners (andragogy), for Arabic language learning media that are flexible, practical, and suitable for their daily activities. The purpose of this study is to develop an Arabic language teaching module based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) that is valid, practical, and effective for housewives to use in independent learning. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The participants of this study were housewives who attended the Arabic language learning program at Majelis Taklim in Gunung Putri, Bogor, consisting of 28–30 housewives. The data collection instruments included interviews, observations, and evaluation questionnaires. The results of the analysis stage showed that housewives needed a self-instructional, contextual, flexible teaching module that would not create a psychological burden due to their limited time. The module content focused on two main concepts: basic vocabulary related to their daily lives and useful for assisting their children in studying at home, as well as the integration of vocabulary and learning materials with verses of the Holy Qur'an (short surahs and selected surahs). The module was developed using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach, which connects the learning materials with the daily activities of housewives. It was also designed in two formats (digital and printed) to accommodate the diverse needs of the learners. The module was validated by material experts and media experts, obtaining a validation score of 79%, which falls into the "feasible" category. The field trial showed that the module was practical and effective to use, receiving positive responses from the learners and improving their vocabulary comprehension and Qur'an reading ability. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the CTL-based Arabic language teaching module developed in this study is feasible to be used as an independent learning medium for housewives. The module has been proven to help learners improve their understanding of the Arabic language while also providing spiritual benefits by enhancing their understanding of Qur'anic vocabulary. This study recommends further development of the module by expanding the learning materials and incorporating more interactive features that are better suited to the characteristics of housewives.
