Abstract

Perundungan verbal merupakan fenomena psikososial yang berdampak signifikan terhadap penurunan harga diri dan munculnya ketidakpercayaan diri pada individu. Penelitian penciptaan ini bertujuan mengembangkan konsep, karakteristik visual, serta media dan alat dalam merepresentasikan ketidakpercayaan diri akibat perundungan verbal ke dalam karya seni lukis mix media. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan practice-led research, melalui tahap konseptualisasi, eksplorasi dan eksperimen, perwujudan karya, serta refleksi dan evaluasi. Proses penciptaan diawali dengan kajian literatur, wawancara narasumber ahli dan magang, dilanjutkan eksplorasi visual serta eksperimen material yang memadukan cat akrilik, krayon, dan teknik sculpting berbahan lem PVAc dan kalsium karbonat. Hasil penciptaan berupa karya berjudul "Menubuh" (228 x 170 cm) yang menampilkan figur perempuan semi figuratif dengan distorsi tubuh sebagai metafora identitas yang terbentuk ulang akibat penilaian sosial, dilengkapi elemen tangan, mata berelief, garis krayon representasi ujaran, serta relief bunga mawar sebagai simbol pertahanan diri, yang memvisualisasikan tiga fase psikologis: kebingungan, keterpurukan, dan transisi menuju penerimaan diri. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penciptaan karya ini berhasil menjawab ketiga rumusan masalah penciptaan sekaligus menegaskan seni lukis sebagai medium reflektif atas dampak psikologis perundungan verbal. ***** Verbal bullying is a psychosocial phenomenon that significantly lowers self-esteem and fosters self-doubt in individuals. This creative research aims to develop the concept, visual characteristics, and media and tools for representing self-doubt caused by verbal bullying in a mix media painting. The research employs a qualitative method with a practice-led research approach, comprising conceptualization, exploration and experimentation, artwork realization, and reflection and evaluation. The creative process began with a literature review and interviews with expert and internship resource persons, followed by visual exploration and material experimentation combining acrylic paint, crayon, and a sculpting technique using PVAc glue and calcium carbonate. The resulting artwork, titled "Menubuh" (228 x 170 cm), presents a semi-figurative female figure with bodily distortion as a metaphor for an identity reshaped by social judgment, complemented by hand elements, relief eyes, crayon lines representing verbal utterances, and a rose relief symbolizing self-defense, visualizing three psychological phases: confusion, downfall, and transition toward self-acceptance. It is concluded that this creative work successfully addresses all three research questions while affirming painting as a reflective medium for the psychological impact of verbal bullying.
