Abstract

Kain batik kontemporer dari sisa produksi suatu merek busana lokal selama ini belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Mengingat busana anak memiliki pola potongan yang relatif kecil, sementara pertumbuhan fisik anak yang cepat membuat busana memiliki waktu pakai singkat, sisa kain tersebut berpotensi diolah menjadi busana anak yang efisien sekaligus ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian Diferensiasi Produk pada busana anak yang dibuat dari kain batik kontemporer sisa produksi dengan menerapkan teknik color blocking dan adjustable size. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental model one-shot case study. Data dikumpulkan melalui penilaian lima panelis ahli menggunakan instrumen skala penilaian (rating scale) yang disusun berdasarkan teori Diferensiasi Produk Kotler dan Keller (2016), yang mencakup lima aspek: form (bentuk), feature (fitur), performance quality (kualitas kinerja), conformance quality (kualitas kesesuaian), dan style (gaya). Objek penelitian berupa lima busana anak dengan penerapan color blocking dan sistem adjustable size yang berfokus pada penyesuaian vertikal, yaitu penambahan dan pengurangan panjang busana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik color blocking dan adjustable size secara signifikan meningkatkan nilai Diferensiasi Produk, dengan kategori "sangat baik" pada seluruh aspek penilaian. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa busana anak dengan teknik color blocking dan adjustable size mampu menjadi solusi inovatif untuk memperpanjang masa pakai busana seiring pertumbuhan anak, sekaligus mendukung efisiensi pengeluaran orang tua melalui konsep busana yang fleksibel dan berkelanjutan (sustainable fashion). Kata kunci: Color Blocking, Adjustable Size, Upcycling ***** Contemporary batik fabric remnants from a local fashion brand's production waste have not been optimally utilized. Given that children's clothing involves relatively small pattern pieces, while children's rapid physical growth results in a short garment lifespan, these fabric remnants have the potential to be processed into efficient and environmentally friendly children's clothing. This study aims to determine the product quality assessment of children's clothing made from contemporary batik fabric production remnants by applying color blocking and adjustable size techniques. The method used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-shot case study design. Data were collected through assessments by five expert panelists using a rating scale instrument developed based on Kotler and Keller's (2016) product quality theory, which encompasses five aspects: form, feature, performance quality, conformance quality, and style. The research objects consisted of five children's garments applying color blocking and an adjustable size system focused on vertical adjustment, namely lengthening and shortening the garment. The results show that the application of color blocking and adjustable size techniques significantly improved product quality, achieving a "very good" category across all assessed aspects. This study concludes that children's clothing employing color blocking and adjustable size techniques can serve as an innovative solution to extend garment usability amid children's rapid growth, while also supporting parental spending efficiency through a flexible and sustainable clothing concept.
