Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPS siswa kelas IV SDN Kelapa Dua Wetan 02 melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Course Review Horay. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV B SDN Kelapa Dua Wetan 02 sebanyak 32 orang. Model penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah model Kemmis and McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pemahaman konsep, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep IPS meningkat dari 68,75% pada siklus I menjadi 87,50% pada siklus II sehingga memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan. Peningkatan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CRH mampu mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa melalui pembelajaran yang kolaboratif, menyenangkan, dan berpusat pada siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CRH dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPS dan dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran inovatif untuk mendukung pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar. ***** This classroom action research aims to improve the social studies concept understanding of fourth-grade students at SDN Kelapa Dua Wetan 02 through the Course Review Horay cooperative learning model. The research subjects were 32 fourth-grade students in Class B at SDN Kelapa Dua Wetan 02. The research model used in this study was the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through concept understanding tests, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that social studies concept understanding increased from 68.75% in Cycle I to 87.50% in Cycle II, thereby meeting the criteria for success. This improvement indicates that the application of the CRH cooperative learning model is effective in fostering students’ active engagement through collaborative, enjoyable, and student-centered learning. This research concludes that the CRH cooperative learning model can enhance students’ concept understanding of social studies and can serve as an innovative alternative learning model to support social studies instruction in elementary schools.
