Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Konsep Diri dengan Optimisme Siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Kecamatan Periuk, Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 1.014 siswa SMK Negeri di Kecamatan Periuk Tangerang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 295 siswa diperoleh menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen Self Concept Clarity Scale (SCSS) untuk mengukur konsep diri siswa dan instrumen Life Orientation Test Revised (LOT-R) untuk mengukur optimisme. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment setelah data memenuhi uji prasyarat berupa uji normalitas dan uji linearitas. Hasil uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment memperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,821 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi konsep diri siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula optimisme siswa. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah konsep diri siswa, maka semakin rendah pula optimisme yang dimiliki siswa. Dengan demikian, hipotesis penelitian yang menyatakan adanya hubungan positif antara konsep diri dengan optimisme siswa diterima Kata kunci: Konsep Diri, Optimisme, Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan, Bimbingan dan Konseling ***** This study aims to find out the relationship between Self-Concept and Optimism among Vocational High School students in the Periuk District, Tangerang. The study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population of the study consists of 1,014 students from public vocational high schools in Periuk District, Tangerang. A sample of 295 students was obtained using a convenience sampling technique. Data was collected using the Self Concept Clarity Scale (SCSS) to measure students’ self-concept and the Life Orientation Test Revised (LOT-R) to measure optimism. Data analysis was carried out using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test after the data passed prerequisite tests including normality and linearity tests. The Pearson Product Moment correlation test results showed a correlation coefficient of 0.821 with a significance value of 0.000. These findings indicate that the higher the students’ self-concept, the higher their optimism. On the contrary, the lower the students' self-concept, the lower their optimism as well. Therefore, the research hypothesis stating that there is a positive relationship between self-concept and student optimism is accepted.
