Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak pengaruh dari penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan teknik akrostik terhadap kemampuan menulis teks puisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah dua kelas, yakni kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing 35 siswa. Dari hasil pengolahan data, terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks puisi antara kedua kelas. Pada kelas eksperimen, rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 66,37 dan rata-rata nilai posttest sebesar 85,71, sehingga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 19,34 poin. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol, rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 64,05 dan rata-rata nilai posttest sebesar 75,82, sehingga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 11,77 poin. Dari hasil pemerolehan data, hasil uji Independent Samples T-Test pada taraf signifikansi α < 0,05 menunjukkan nilai Sig. (two-tailed) < 0,001 sehingga H₀ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan teknik akrostik terhadap kemampuan menulis teks puisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta. ***** This study was conducted to determine whether the use of the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) assisted by the acrostic technique affects the poetry writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta. The method used in this study was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely class VIII C as the experimental class and class VIII D as the control class, with 35 students in each class. The results showed a difference in the improvement of students' poetry writing skills between the two classes. In the experimental class, the mean pretest score was 66.37 and increased to 85.71 in the posttest, representing an improvement of 19.34 points. Meanwhile, in the control class, the mean pretest score was 64.05 and increased to 75.82 in the posttest, representing an improvement of 11.77 points. The results of the Independent Samples T-Test at a significance level of α < 0.05 showed a Sig. (two-tailed) value of <0.001, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. This indicates that the use of the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) assisted by the acrostic technique had a significant effect on the poetry writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta.
