Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan spasial melalui pendekatan CTL pada murid kelas V SD. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah murid kelas VA SDS Ayah Bunda sebanyak 30 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan desain penelitian Kemmis dan McTaggart. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan tes dan dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kecerdasan spasial melalui pendekatan CTL. Oleh karena itu, guru harus menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya melalui kegiatan yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan mengamati, memvisualisasikan, memutar, dan memahami hubungan antarobjek secara spasial. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Spasial Murid Kelas V SD, Pendekatan CTL ***** This study aimed to improve students’ spatial intelligence through the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in mathematics learning among fifth-grade students. The participants in this study were 30 fifth-grade students of class VA at SDS Ayah Bunda. The participants were selected using purposive sampling. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart research design. Data were collected through observation and tests and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed an improvement in students’ spatial intelligence through the implementation of the CTL approach. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to apply contextual learning approaches and actively involve students in the learning process, particularly through activities that develop their abilities to observe, visualize, mentally rotate, and understand spatial relationships among objects.
