Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of an active learning strategy type Three Stage Fishbowl Decision to improve learning outcomes of social studies subjects. This research was conducted in class VIII.6, amounting to 22 students in MTs Negeri 25 Jakarta in the academic year 2020/2021 since January-April 2020. The method used in this research is a class action research that uses three cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, implementation, and reflection. Based on the results of the study, there was an increase in each cycle, in cycle 1 the percentage of learning outcomes was 36% with an average learning outcome of 63.1. In cycle 2 it increased to 68% with an average learning outcome of 77.2. In cycle 3 it increased to 82% with an average learning outcome of 83.4. The value in cycle 3 has reached the target of the Achievement Index ≥80% and the average learning outcomes minimum minimum achievement criteria 75. In addition, student activeness also increased in the ability to ask, answer, express opinions and solve problems. In cycle 1 students were still passive in learning so the percentage was 0%, cycle 2 increased to 34% and in cycle 3 it was 42%. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Three Stage Fishbowl Decision type active learning strategy can improve social studies learning outcomes and student activities.
